This patch does work. 1. Make sure you have installed the patch and restarted. (Or wait to restart till after regedit changes) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2908279 2. Now use regedit and add this entry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers] "D:\\Games\\Electronic Arts\\Dark Age of Camelot\\camelot.exe"="NoDTToDITMouseBatch" "D:\\Games\\Electronic Arts\\Dark Age of Camelot\\connect.exe"="NoDTToDITMouseBatch" Create the Layers folder if it does not exist and then create a string called (your exe path, like above). And then give it the value of "NoDTToDITMouseBatch" Replace the game path with your own. I also have the DAOC portals connect.exe in the game folder and using a batch to connect. If you are not, switch out the connect.exe path with the one in the daoc portal folder. In that case you may also need to add the path for portal.exe. On live i only needed camelot.exe, but on uthgard using a launcher you need to include the launcher also. After you have the correct entries, close regedit. 3. Open command prompt as admin and run this command. "Rundll32 apphelp.dll,ShimFlushCache" 4. Now you will need to logout of windows and back in. (You will have to restart if you did not after the MS patch.) That should fix the mouse lag issue/slow mouse. I did for me, but if it does not, it could be another issue. I'm running an Nvidia card with the latest drivers. I'm not sure if ATI has any issues. |
