hey guys
i just bought a new pc and since that daoc is not running properly anymore ;(
every few seconds the FPS drop from about 30 to zero, so its not playable.
i got a amd fx-6300 six-core-processor, 8 gb ram, radeon r7 260x graphiccard and running windows 7.

please help ;(


p.s.: all my other games are running without problems!

I would check core affinity. DAOC is not multicore and it is totally possible that is causing an issue. Also try turning off Vysnc in the AMD control panel.

EDIT: Thought you were running Window 8.
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

There was a similar topic in the german support forum.
Apparently this bug is caused by the new AMD drivers and makes your card not render any new frames while you move your mouse cursor (last working driver for me is 13.4, for others the 13.11 beta 8 appears to work tho ...link to other topic: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=31954).

Problem solved! Just found a new beta driver, now it works. Tried 10 different drver versions all had the same problem, just this very new one works

actually this was alrdy answered in the ENGLISH support forum ~
