Perhaps more frustrating on uthgard aside from bugs, worldbuild problems and unbalanced RAs (which the staff consistently works to fix) is the "buddy system" that spans realms and the staff really can't do anything about.

Every day i see players at emain solo and FGs run by them like their not even there. 5 min later some other player will show up and the FG will come back, kill the new guy but leave the other player untouched. This ridiculous bias completely detracts from any concept of "community" on the server. instead its nothing more than an x-realming buddy system involving RP feeding, actual x-realming, and other rule violations for which there is no actual punishment.

for the staff, you guys consistently say there is no "dueling" allowed in emain. how can you say that isn't allowed but the behavior of picking and choosing which players to kill based on who is your RL friend or x-realm buddy is? it's ridiculous and detracts from the game.

as for the groups who do participate in this behavior. if you're going to do it by all means do. just dont spam the forum with QQ threads when your 8v8 gets added by another FG or a stealther zerg. you brought it on yourself.

I don't think you will see this quite as much with the new 0 rp's if you are dead change. More people, myself included, will probably quit trying to force solo play so much and go with the flow of adding and zerging all I see. If I'm dead I get nothing, so if I'm going to fight I'm going to have to stay alive to make it worth my while.

Has became more and more apparent over the last few months to reach high RR you need to know be buddies with other realms. Is why I have taken hiatus to read and workout more, feeling good about the decision.

I give it 8 more months and you will be back. In all seriousness this game is GREAT, but does require taking breaks in order to maintain sanity. As I always tell the new players coming out to emain, remember its a marathon not a sprint. If you are running around getting between 100-200k a week it will not be long before you burn yourself out and quit playing. Play for an hour or 2 a night instead of 6+ hours everynight. Dont be in such a huge rush to get to a high RR. Enjoy the ride and take your time. Thats the key for most players.

I believe you Alanya, although I will not be the least big surprised if you come back down the road. The only comment that was meant for you was the "I give it 8 more months and you will be back." The rest was just in reply to the other comments to remind players to enjoy the trip of getting to a high RR rather than focusing on the destination.

Mauriac -- You hit the nail on the coffin like you wouldn't even believe. Me, and 6 of my RL buddies that ran the guild Genocide on Albion side actually quit about a month ago because of this dumbass ridiculous crap that was going on. So, your definitely not alone.

The appearance of favoring one enemy over another is one reason why I avoid emain AMG. I'm much happier being a scourge upon all in the rest of the hib/mid frontiers

As for the initial post i personaly allowed the respectfull players the option to fight or not to fight me since i was more than a challenge for the majority of solo's, some players also would like to give me a try but only when they were at their best i.e 100% hp, fully buffed via charge/pots and having all their RA's up which ment waiting for up to 15 minutes in some case's and when ready to initiated the fight they simply /bow or send me on irc saying they ready and god help u if u loose ur respectable status or dnt have one to start with because then its an uphill battle trying to solo ( we've all been there )

In regards to fgs leaving respected solo's its more to do with the fact there is 2 types of players.... people who like to RVR ( realm vs realm - red is dead ) such as DG. then you get the other types of players who look purely for fair fights such as 2v2 3v3 4v4 8v8 ect ect, only when its a clean 8v8 for example they feel they then have the bragging rights and ego boost.

one of the most important facts is uthgard is a tight community, id say more than half the active players see each other as friends and not realm enemies and being a free to play server almost everyone plays on more than 1 realm which by default makes u more friends on enemy realms, be carefull not to confuse x realming with respect to friends.
