My toon was Daedrielle a bard. I started out, wanting to do nothing more than just chat and run around DF ressing healing and just piddling around. I did not aspire to great RVR because of progressive nerve damage and Post Traumatic Syndrome I knew I was no longer capable of handling highly stressful situations. PvE was OK, because I did only one thing, heal and res in groups and I think I got quite good at it once I remembered all the stuff I had forgotten.

My view of this was molded by my years of playing on Gaheris. I no longer enjoy killing players but on this server RvR is forced on a player. Oh I expected this to some extent but on live it was never to such an extent that I could do nothing I could really enjoy at all!

On live I used to be able to avoid being killed by being secretive and careful. I guess I am at fault for expecting things to be anything like what I experienced on PvP servers on Live where you could still enjoy yourself to a reasonable extent but here its a mid or several of them everywhere I turn. I know its the way it is, and I can't call foul but this is the basic flaw here. Excessive Griefing ruins the game for many and grey killing and constant physical harassment is a detriment to this server or any game when it reaches a point where its either quit or join them, or a third alternative and that is to listen to the trend, note what it's doing to me and avoid the disaster. Only a fool keeps doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. I have weighed every side carefully and there is no good in the end for any. I could have made a stealthier and taken revenge, but that is not what sort of person I want to become.

The prime reason also is I do not like what kind of person the server situation with griefers and being unable to do much without having it crammed down my throat so far if it were eyes it would begin to see daylight is turning me into.

I could go on and on, ranting, yes I am furious, yes I am frustrated. Well too bad, that's the facts and I am not spewing profanity or whatever.

I have deleted my characters, uninstalled the game and posted this. I don't plan to come back here because I don't see any reason to expose myself to the crazies who view everything as a whine or a QQ and can't handle it. There is sorrow and unhappy people as well as happy people on the world and if posts of this sort annoy you or your self esteem is so low you have to attack then I would rather be me than you. To all the kind folks and the helpers and the gems out there I say farewell. My only regret is I will no longer have the honor of your company.

I'm sorry you're not enjoying the situation on the server. However, the concept behind DAoC is Realm vs Realm. If you stay exclusively in your homelands (yes, I know few people do, but it's an option) you cannot be attacked by members of other realms. The risks associated to levelling in RvR zones (i.e. the frontiers, the frontier dungeons and Darkness Falls) should be quite clear to everyone, especially since you've played on Gaheris before.

I wish you well and hope you find a game that is a closer match to what you're looking for.

Why in the world would you go into DF if you didn't want to be player killed? You could have picked literally anywhere else to go in Hib and you chose DF? Why?

I'd appreciate if you just left out the flame posts (whoever I'm addressing here is probably well aware) since I'm just going to remove them anyway.

The frontiers has no place for coddling!

You and others seem to miss the point here or pretend to have missed it. On the live pvp server I played, you could go to DF and it wasn't that bad. Here the degree of Griefing, and being killed is absurd. I stated what I wanted to do in DF in the very first part of my post. My only conclusion I can make is you didn't read the post or don't with to acknowledge it. Nothing I can do about that.

Well, you have players on the one hand that kill greys and are proud of it and you ´ve players who don ´t kills grey too. Most ppl that pass you without killing or killing you are stealthers so you keep the bad ones in mind that ruin your fun and dont even get attention to the nice ones that passed you without doing any harm keeoing stealthed.

So don ´t blame the whole server, not everyone is like *insert badass minstrels name here* . But I agree to svperstar, if you go to DF you have to be sure about that there is a high risk to get greyganked there, if you want to avoid it you shall better go somewhere else, quitting the game cause of that reason you menttioned is a hard decision and you give the grey gankers a victory when you leave too. Maybe reconsider your decision about leaving Uthgard, it ´s not that bad playing here at all.

If you played on the PvP server on live then I think the small population of Mordred/Andred and the fact that people could get more RP camping other places then DF is what led to you not not getting killed so much(maybe).

Here DF is prime RP especially for a low RR assassin/archer. Where you running around DF solo? Thats begging to be killed.

Don't know why you are so angry about it though. Just move to another zone.

If your goal was to res people for Res RP then obviously they have to be killed by another player first.

Wrong place to fish for sympathy poster. Listen, we all know how much it sucks to get ganked in DF, but IT IS AN RVR ZONE!

Essentially what you said was, "I want to run around an RvR zone and people should not kill me because they didnt on a whole different server..."

I guess my only reply to that is that you should go back to that server. QQ'ing on a forum about how people kill you in DF because you just want to run around "healing and rez'ing people" is just pathetic. I can see it now,"Hey, dont kill that bard. He is just here to kill some time roaming and healing and rez'ing the dead. But by all means kill that other guy, he's a dick...."

I totally missed your point. When you go an RvR Zone, you take that chance. You want to run around and be Mr. Nice Guy and rez/heal players, go to a PvE leveling spot?
