hi there,
recently installed DAOC on a different PC, when trying to connect to Uthgard via DAOC portal I get the message your connect.exe client is outdated. But this only happens when selecting Uthgard as a server, all the other shards start fine ? I'm using the 2.8b version, and have tried downloading a different connect.exe file but no joy. Can anyone help? Many Thanks |

the current DAoC Portal version is 2.8c. Please attempt to connect using that version, obtainable here. I hope this helps - should your problems persist, feel free to post again. |

still no joy . I followed the link and downloaded the latest version, but upon restarting portal it still reads 2.8b ?

you might have installed it someplace else

That's quite possible. Follow your usual steps to uninstall software (i.e. via the control panel, if you're using Windows) and see if you have multiple entries for DAoC Portal. You might as well remove v2.8b, then go looking for the new folder. On the other hand, you should have a new start menu shortcut to the Portal.exe. |
