for grp fights i would say go hybrid spec with shield 42...and a very fast post, so you can chain-snare your targets...arms usually isn't main dps in alb-grps, so utility like slam, guard and snare are important, if they take you at all...

for solo: my arms is not a HO but i use the 5.7spd dragon pole...works very well with switching between pole and s/s...hit with pole, switch back, hit one with fast 1h, switch and repeat...no loss of defense while having very good dps, as the pole styles are pretty amazing in terms of growth-rate :)

blackbeard still hits for 300-400 with his 99% 4.4 speed 15 dps pole :D and as a snare bot its all about speed.

I sincerely hope this is not true. Armsman should not hit harder than warrior, especially since warr mosty specs 50 in wep line. Of course, armsmen often do hit harder than warriors due to growth rates of their styles, but with similar growth rate, warrior should hit harder. That kind of dmg output with 4.4 speed pole is idiotic, I hope he was hitting some guy that's not temped.

"He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women."
