Focus Enhance Cleric

Hey Everyone!
I'm pretty new to Uthgard and I had a few questions: Back when I played in my 8 man(way back in the day) we did 1 rejv celric and 1 "Focus Enhance Cleric". What I mean by that is we had positions where the rejv cleric would stay back and concentrate on healing and curing disease while the enhance cleric would be about mid field and concentrate on sheers as well as using Hand Of God to protect anyone tanking the heavy damage from the tank/caster train. I was usually the Enhance cleric, since that was my favorite position (my spec was 47 enhance, rest Rejv), and I was wondering if this would be effective here on Uthgard. I know how to play it and use it correctly (as long as I have a partnered cleric that is good at healing.) How effective is Hand of God here, and what differences does it have compared to Live. I would test everything myself, but I'm still working on leveling up my main cleric. Thanks and glad to be fighting for the realm, Galoda Live:

From hearing some guildmates' experiences:
Pros: - Great versus Trains - Power Efficient since you have lower Rejuvenation - More Red Buffs/Resists (Red Body Resist !) - AoE Shears (Useful versus Trains. Not effective for AoE-Interupts due to the small radius') - When Shelling, some enemies may assume you're CC'd Cons: - Requires members to call out "Heavy Damage Inc" - Easily recognized by some enemies - No SpreadHeal - Useless in PvE (Unless this thread receives attention!) - Insufficient "Concentration Pool" size From [38:00 - 38:25] in my video here, you can see me eating DI and one of our Clerics casting a Shell on me. You'll notice I would have taken 200-300+ damage, but the shell reduced it all to a mere 10-30 damage. ![]() In the end, it's all preference. I wouldn't advise using a Shell spec unless you have a certain set group of people you commonly group with that are aware and play around it. Implying when they take damage, they don't break it with styles/spells and they call out when they need it. My guildmates complained it was sometimes very situational to use and absolutely useless to have when Nearsighted, of which SpreadHeal would be the best counter to keep players alive with. - Something to note - the Focus Shells do not have the "Orb-Line-Shield" animation as they did on live. Here, there is no animation at all. Hope that helps ~ "It's not fair unless I'm winning!" |

Thanks Oglop!
This is very useful! I was wondering if it critically nerfed! This is how I'll be speccing again... When I use to use it on live I can't tell you how many times trains have run by me thinking I'm CC'd. Thanks for the info, the video, and the forum link. This will all help me plan this out! Live:

Yeah, would primarily use Gold buffs with +25% unless red was needed.
