Minstrel got a lot of utilities, which are not level 50 and therefore get resisted quite a lot.

Getting popped by a stealther and stun gets resisted or infight dds got resisted is quite annoying and game turning.

Has anybody in depth experience with mof2 on minstrel (I read somewhere on the web, that mof wont work for hybrid the exact same way as for pure casters)?

Maybe anybody has tested following spells/instas with and without mof2?

DD 43
Flute Mezz 42
Stun Lvl 40
Confusion 45
Charm 41

If there wont be much info, I'll gonna test this myself.

What would be the best setup for this?

For dd s I think duelling one who get healed is fine. But what for stun? I dont want to wait 1 minute after each stun... What message do you see when you stun within timer? Are there resists shown or just the message you cant have that effect again?

I heard from a minstrel that MoF2 is like a must have to avoid resists you talked about ;)

Hi dirty

One week ago peoples were talking about mof on /as. They said mof is totally useless for minstrel .

Im minstrel and i made two test with and without mof two Time

When im solo i all Time use orange and red pet

Fact. Is without mof2 pets charm résist really often

For one minute duration something like 7 résist on pulse and sometime more on red pets

Mezz,dd,stun on lv50 player résist really often too

With mof2 orange pet never résist to charm something like one Time on an hour :)

Less résist on stun/dd/mezz

Mof2 is a must havé for solo minstrel. Mof 3 should be Nice too Didnt test atm its lots of point imo its waste of point.

I repeat again for /as people. Minstrel charm and sorc/menta charm are totally différents

Its pointless two compare those two charm

I hope this would help you dirty if you havé any question contact me ingame

A guild mate did not test it, but got mof2 and he is very pleased with it - it feels very much worth it.

One word about mof3 - seems to be beyond all question.

As with mof2 you increase spell level (for resistance calculation purpose) already by 9 levels, which means from very expensive mof3 your only benefit is stun raised from lvl 49 to 50 (mof caps at 50). All other spells already taken to level 50. Except you do not spec 50 instrument on minstrel.

I dont know about the effect on charm - I always thought charm of pet is only influenced by combined instrument skill - so spec + sc + rr (-1).

I had respect ra to mof2 some days , on mindworm pet (lv57 red). 50% less résist on charm im 50 music spec and 6l5 with music skill capped in Temp

I Will never play solo without mof2 anymore

I did with my cabby, but only with a low number of cast (~50). Tested with lvl 1, 22 and 33 spells, and with MoF 3, in a duel vs a lvl 50 (6L, like my cab).
Despite the low number of cast, results were very close to what they should be with a working MoF :
- 24% resist on lvl 1 spell
- 15% resist on lvl 22 spell
- 9% resist on lvl 33 spell
I didn't test it without MoF.

I can tell you right now that going MoF 2 on my Minst has made a HUGE difference in resists in Thid. Consider the fact that our last stun shout is level 40, your bumping it up to level 49. I can land my shouts on players way more than before, especially the stun.

this.
Mof 2 aint worth it for grp play, resisted instants rupt anyway.
your overall dd dmg would be probably higher woth mom2 instead of mof 2

True

Well, this is something that should be tested by someone with lots of time :-)

As I got no mof2 yet, I cant tell about how resist rate is going down with it.. but for solo play every resisted dd and resisted stun really hurts badly.
