Conquer Duration fix!

It seems you have zero rvr experience on uthgard but I can answer your questions. First of all you want me to spec 44 thrust , well it does sound nice but its a total waste not only is it unreliable but if it's a zerker/savage/bm thats not slamed god bless you they don't evade you every single hit.I do snare quite often but I normally us flank and that lasts 12 seconds which is normal for an easy side/back snare. Now lets take a look again at conquer, 23 second duration low fatigue, decent damage, and only level 29. Conquer is a joke to land so easy that I don't understand why more mids don't use it. Now lets take a look at wyvernfang, It is a follow up to a detaunt called tranquillize. Tranquillize has no damage bonus no hit bonus and medium fatigue. With classes with evade and fighting a group with blade turn its hard to land the chain but not impossible just takes 5 tries sometimes. So many people say that this is a custom fix, but heck the hole freaking server is custom but I wont even go there. |

Ok ok let's remove the snare from conquer BUT then remove all the pets from theurgs and animists, too because Midgard doesn't have petspam casters. See what happens if we start giving every realm the same abilities?

The butthurt and childish arguments are mind blowing in this thread. It's like reading DAoC forums 1 year after release, however this is the forum of a freeshard server of a 11 year old game.
Can't just people grow up? Accept that every realm has OP abilities and just.. get along? This is the beauty of this game, the fact that each class and realm has flavor, I thought that the mature player-base that plays here would understand such a simple concept. Apparently not. |

Like I said, you DO have more PVE experience on Uthgard, but that's about it. Hint, read.
Let us stop right there. In a kite group, you need to disable targets (not try and be a gimped Zerk/BM without vendo or TW). So, Hib: druids, bard, warden, hero and eld. Mid: shamman, and healers, and skald/warrior. THEN you can focus on their DPS. (Notice how I have their main root CC, as a priority target?) Yeah, a snared shaman or druid will be rooting a lot while people kite... The whole point with KITE, is to make a gap between their SUPPORT and their melee. Have you ever tried pushing while snared? Never mind, that's why you made this whine thread to begin with. You can't afford to purge a snare, period.
Yeah, its not abut YOUR dmg, which is why mercs underperform anway. The fact is: Albion got the best range, and the best ranged classes. So, whit mercs that understand basic team-play, guess what? Albion wins, over time. The 2part chain is fine, as long as you know how to strafe (rather easy). Also, there's a reason WHY you run 2 mercs. Fan out, 1-2 slams, and 1-2 snares each, get back to group before charge wears off. Now, when your group got a decent position: the real fight starts. Oh, and don't feel bad. There haven't been a decent hybrid Albion setup, for a long time. Freeshard celebrity since Odin's Gate "Sup Warlord, Nova, Legion!"

Fact is that duration of effect is usually scaled on level of style. There's some exception, but when it's class specific, well, why not.
In this situation, snare duration of Conquer is hard to explain. And to my mind, it was not changed on live because the power of this effect was not really understood (and used). If you really think that it's a realm specific feature (like theu ??? lol), then i supposed than you also think that the stun duration of dragonfang should have never been reduced ![]() RIP : Ectoplasme

Well there is no need to discuss these things, it's just useless, unless you want every realm to have the same abilities? I think it's fair enough that mids have that anytime snare, albs and hibs have some other stuff that mids could QQ about. Of course not. Not me at least. But... all realms have snare. It's not Midgard specific. Maybe. The problem is somewhere in the initial post. But i can't give more, since there's too many words in this post. I didn't read it. ![]() Anyway, according to how styles are designed, this duration seems a little bit weird.
