Hey folks!

I just started playing on this amazing server.
But i noticed i have all the time a 2 second delay... My lag-o-meter is in the middle a triangle all the time.
I have no dl's running or smth. like that... other freeshardserver runnning pretty fine without delays/lags etc..


Hopfully anyone can help me

you may give us some more informations? where are you from, whos your ISP.
americans encounter problem more often. if this lag is permanent you can tracker uthgard and post the results.

Next time hide your ip.

you do have one loss and really high ms. this could be the reason for the delay

cmon guys :S this is rly annoying.. its ok while leveling but i will to go to rvr too and this just suxx >.<

do you also encounter longer delays when joining european server in other games, or visiting websites where the server is in europe?

i have no idea of the internet at your local place. some of us can list priorities in their net to get better performance of daoc and teamspeak.

i hope you can get a better performance but im afraid you will allways encounter higher delays when sending and receiving stuff from europe. even you own broadband you may be handicapped due the connections between continents.
maybe an other australian player can post here and share his informations and experiences with Uthgard.

no normally not, if i connect to any other freeshard my ping etc is just fine....

i also found some aussie guy whos playing on uthgard and he has got a decent ping too....


could it be that i am using the wrong client? .. wich one is the best for uthgard and where can i get it?

use the newest client, 1.113

you can get it easily, if you download the game official from EA itself

alright will do this... is it enough if i just run the patcher via daocportal? to get it to the client or should i dl it new

well not sure what version of daocportal / daoc itself you use...

but the easiest is to get a new clean start and delete old stuff.
just follow this instruction http://uthgard.net/howtoconnect and you should be fine (i hope also for your lags!)

so i am in australia right now...

the only thing to consider, always have been for player from australia/NZ. always have been on WoW or any mmo with servers located in EU or US. I suggest you just get used to it or go to another country ^^
