Hello all,

I just got a new laptop with Windows 8 OS.

I downloaded the DAoC Client Patcher from the game's website (14.4MB file). The patcher installed without a hitch but when I tried to open the application to download the full game...the application won't load...not even after running it as administrator or in compatibility mode (XP, W7).

I contacted EA's customer service and they said that DAoC isn't supported by Windows 8 at the moment. However, I know some of you guys are playing the game on Windows 8 at the moment...how come my game patcher won't work?

Is there a place where I can download the full 4GB game since the patcher won't load?

Help me troubleshoot please =/

Nevermind!

Problem solved. Cut and pasted Electronic Arts folder from Program Files(x86) to Program Files, ran as administrator, and patcher worked perfectly....just in case any one else faced the same problem.
