My 3yo son has been watching me play, and realy would like to play as well. Personaly i think this is awsonme. However he's 3 so his motor skills aren't the greatest. He could stick press 1 when he's told ect. but anything advanced (like running a figure 8 to prove he's not a bot) he couldn't do.
If i allow my son to play (set up on his on com) will we end up banned for botting? |

If you believe he can pass our dual login tests we perform, example might be count both same time from 100 to 1 as fast can at some and other tests.

Be a great father, and let him play your own character while you are sitting right next to him. Then you can help him and even show him "cool new stuff".
I recommend against logging a second character since Dark Age of Camelot has a minimum age requirement of 13 years, and so technically your son wouldn't be allowed to own/log a character. So it would be you logging in two characters at the same time. Compare this to letting small children take the gear while driving a car. It's probably fine if you do this with a 10-year old on a sole street, but if you put him into a car by himself and go away, you (and he) are probably in big trouble ... |

There in is the issue. I don't think he is capable of passing the test as he can only read and write a few words and his motor skills are not great. As for putting him in my lap and letting him play with me we've been doing that....he wants to run his own toon. From the sounds of it that isn't going to be possable. |
|
Do you really want him to learn words like "pwnd!111" "omg", "******", ... as his first, basic vocabulary? Not sure him having his own toon is a good idea.

He could have his 'own' toon, but you still ought to have him on your lap. You have 10 char slots per account and you can create as many accounts as you want. In this case, logging 2 accounts at once wouldn't be passable since he does need assistance.

Hate to post in this thread, but I feel the need to. All of the non-staff members posting in here especially... He was not asking you a question, and quite frankly - where do you guys get off telling him how to raise his kid, and calling him a poor father?
Really lacking any kind of tact here. His answer is no, unless he wants to create an alt, and help his son play it and only keep 1 character on. Last edited by Orito on Apr 20, 2013 17:28, edited 1 time in total.

Im picturing a DAoC player desperately throwing the ball around, teaching his son enough hand-eye coordination to play his buffbot
|

Although i feel incline to agree to this possibility, i really hope this not to be real, because otherwise in that case it would be twice the failure: - one as a daoc player, desperately feeling the need for a buffbot - one as a father, (ab)using his son for his own -ingame- profit |
