I will run a US time event later this month at 9 or 10 EST (6 or 7 Pacific). No date is yet set.

Abydos - I greatly appreciate you jumping up to head an event for us US players. I, for one, will jump out of work early to get in on some action during the 15th or April event but alot of others don't have the luxury of doing that and I am sure they will be very happy to see news of a 2nd chance event!

This will be my first RvR server event. Can anyone explain how Uthalis drop and how they are received by players? Are they dropped on the ground or does each player in a group get one on a successful kill or are they like DF seals and randomly split up?

Sorry for the silly question - just trying to get informed prior to dispatching some enemies ^^

I realize you have a RL, I do too, but why not Sunday or Saturday? If you wanted to exclude 98% of US players, just say so.

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

It's probably monday because monday is the day with most players online and they want to make a news about breaking the 1000 barrier.
If I'm online I will attend ;p

Monday is not the day with the most. The event timing is based around my schedule. I am not intending to leave anyone out. Adianne, I'll never be able to please everyone, but remember, I do my best to look out for the Americans. You have it bad? I moved to the West Coast. Try playing 9-10pm Pacific :-)

In any event, as I already stated, I intend to host a US-time event later as my schedule permits.

Well welcome to the "left coast" :p Might we be neighbors? I play 7pm PST

I understand you can't please everyone and need to make this for the majority of the server, I just didn't get it. Thanks for the explanation.

I must admit, it is pretty quiet when I play which is normally in the 8 to 10 pm pacific time window. There's what ... an 11-12 hour offset between that and "prime time" ? Maybe a good policy for the management to have would be to try to run events in pairs on a 12 hour offset. That would give everyone everywhere a realistic opportunity to make one or the other if they so choose. Although clearly one would be much more quiet than the other. Maybe prime time minus six hours and plus six hours would prove more sensible.

Apologies to anyone living in the 9 hours or so worth of ocean time zones between west coast USA and east coast Asia. I dont think there's enough of you out there to make decisions around!

Spring is upon us! With the refreshing spring air comes a renewed call for blood. The armies of Midgard, Hibernia, and Albion should prepare to clash with fury in an unforgettable spring battle. Sharpen your blades, polish your armor and prepare your spirit for battle!

Beginning Monday, April 15th, 2013, at 8 PM (CET), Uthgard will hold a warfare event for all players wishing to attend.

Uthgard Staff is proud to present an all-new event zone, the Forest of Rossendale. This event will be an RvR-centered battle. The objective of the battle, apart from weakening the enemy moral and diminishing their numbers, is to capture the princess or kill their expedition leader.

 Uthalis is awarded for each successful kill of an enemy keep Lord. Uthalis is also awarded for capturing the enemy princess and returning her safely to your own. The reward is distributed at the time of the kill or capture, so make sure you're in the area (No, realm switching won't help you).

 You will need to patch prior to entering the event. We will enable an event-zone automatic patch upon connection prior to the event. You must install the patch to participate. Also, "Atlantis" terrain is recommended for best visuals.

 Enemy kills will be worth Uthalis, and a zone wide realm point bonus will be in effect.

 During the duration of the event, a 25% XP bonus will be available for those who choose not to participate in the RvR event.

The event will last 3 hours and begins at 8 PM CET (2 PM Eastern US 11 AM West Coast US)

See you on the battlefield!

Your Uthgard Staff

Think it be wery SUPER:)

Uthalis work like this: (to the best of my knowledge)

There is a certain % chance for one to drop for every player kill.
Only the group with the killing blow can pick up the Uthalis.
/autoloot doesn't work for Uthalis so you have a battlefield littered with bags (Uthalis) that your group may or may not be able to pick up
Meanwhile, your group is probably busy fighting all the other remaining Mids/Hibs/Albs and the fight location will most likely change while the enemy charges/kites/circles a hill or whatever.
Uthalis are on a timer and then disappear... so after the battle is over and there are bags covering 1/2 a zone, your group has to run around and click on every single one to have a chance to pick them up, assuming you get to them within the allotted time before the disappear.

Oh.. and if a realm is on the losing end, many players will relog to the winning realm, thereby skewing the balance of power in a tri-realm war.

Uthalis as rewards (in this case) are a completely retarded and horribly thought out reward system from the GMs. If you decide to participate, good luck. I stopped attending GM events myself a long time ago.
