Why a 2h pally cannot be seen as effective.

In his spec, he has 42 shield, so he can keep his role of guard bot. And with 2h style, he has access to back-style snare.
If we compare with hero, most of hero spec spear and shield and switch during fights to snare/guard.

I can consider the fact that pallies have to switch chants, and switching weapons also can be tough, but even if it's tough, I don't think we can say so easily that a 2h pally is useless.

as said before. you get the quick snare at 4 twohand. anyone using the 39 snare isntead of the lvl 4 is wasting effort and spec points. shorter duration and worse to-hit for only a slight dmg increase.
I agree that every pally should have at least 4 twohand to have the option of the quick rear snare. i disagree that any should bother going 39 twohand.

4 is 2 sec back stun, not snare.

The level 4 style is a snare here, not a stun.

Although one potential reason to go 2h on pally. ridiculously cheap MP weapons with cool skins.

because twohanded is so worthless (on alb), twohand drops are wroth about 100g (salvage for 75, but people mark em up a bit because they are glowie and cool). this includes mps from taj 2, legion, worm, etc. these same items if they were 1h weapons would be 10-20plat or more.

twohand crush in particular has a lot of selection of worthless drops with pretty good stats.

Ive found it near impossible to make a compeltely weaponless template that does what I want, but if one made some sacrifices in other /use abilities it would be possible to make a weaponless or semi-weaponless template that would permit showing off a variety of cool twohanders.

-----------------
bonus points is that the style visual effects for twohanded are awesome. leaping into the air to come down on your enemies head is pretty sweet.

so if looks matter, twohand is the answer.
