This behavior is completly ok in regards to uthgard rules, the so called "official dragon raid" have nothing official but the name and therefore are rightfully not supported/helped/whatever by any blue member of the staff.

On a more personnal opinion, that ******'s behavior as well as the ~15 people who join him in his quest for more transparency(lol) and more affordable drake lewtz for the realm, is completly selfish and disrespectfull to people who take the time to organize and make dragon raid available to as most people as possible only twice per week ( omg I got no time to kill the drake with my buddies any other time !)

Hey guys, some 100+ people are killing a monster I can kill with only 16 people ! I must show those noobz what real skill is !

As you can easily see he does it specifically most of the time when it will prevent official raid from happening, this guy feeds on drama and do it intentionnally for that, same he like your post or whatever will be done to give him more exposure in his holy quest to improve the average skill level of the realm that he feel entitled of.

That kind of thread unfortunately will only give him incentive to continue with that selfish behavior, maybe more people will act according to that and some he will realise that some guildmate(LOL), friends or any other player who have anything to gain from those official dragon raid will convince him to act differently.

As I said, i think the 15 other people who join his raids are as much to blame as the leader for doing this, as he like to say it : "even official raid leaders join my raid !" Well if you choose to kill it and the guy is available and already on spot ... You could say if its not them it will be someone else...

I'll say it again,THAT BEHAVIOR IS TOTALLY OK WITH UTHGARD RULES, It's just completly selfish to the fact that there is plenty of time for the 2 different schedule to go along.

A raid is 10 point, you can easily get a stone for 19-21 if you want, it takes a lot more raid for a worthy mp i'll give you that but at least you will get one at some point, personnally i don't join these raids for loot or money and i'm sure i'm not the only one. Some people may have a hard time understanding thats its not about money.

Congratulation you won a thread about you on uthgard forum

I have been to the "official" Dragon Raid one time. I never went back when I saw the sheer amount of people that came.

IMO there are much better was of making money on Uthgard then those Dragonraids anyway. Do some 4-5 man DF runs at the end if you are lucky you will /random 100 high and get some decent items to put in your house merchant or a stack of seals. GK/Evern is a 5 man affair and isn't in the middle of nowhere like the Dragon.
There will be a group of people out there who will want this realm to be entirely Mythic-like. Exactly like vanilla, drop rates/xp rates, basically everything and you will not be able to please them unless it is exactly like vanilla.

These people have their nostalgia goggles on so tight it's cutting off the bloodflow to their brain and they believe that vanilla was perfect and nothing was wrong with it.

That's it, you can troll like as much as you want Mr. S. You have bad manners and at least I won't attend in any of his raids anymore.
Just ignore him, dont invite him, end of story.

It's not only about the rules, it's just that if a little grp wants to kill a dragon before a larger grp, there will be more people biaised than the opposite. And for that people it can be annoying.
It already happened in Hibernia, and people who killed the dragon before the unofficial official DR ( 8) ) were just put in this unofficial official DR black list and not allowed to participate to it anymore.

Just avoid this bad experience and go through :)

bad manners? yes

not very social? yes

a reason to start a topic in CAPITALS? no way...

smokey is a good example for a player, that knows what to do and how to...sure, raiding a few hours before the "official raid" (and as it is held very regularly it's fine to call it that way), is not very nice and so on but then again....even without good knowledge of the dragon and stuff it should be doable with 3-4fg....so why rely on the "offical" raid and not make a 2nd official raid every tuesday, wednesday or thursday? it's not like the dragon only spawns on officlal dates...

stop complaining, start working...that's the same for bug-reports without doing research as well as dragon raids without organising one yourself (and don't play the casual-players-don't-have-time card now, the official raid has so much tamtaram around it, that the actual raid is like 20% of the time...making one yourself can easily be done via forum beforehand and then the actual raid doesn't take ages)
