I know I need to replace the dll file in order to run this.. can't find it in the downloads. Am I just being dumb?

Well then can someone help me.. I am at a loss. I have been trying, I followed the tutorial.. only thing I could figure out is why my wouldn't let me run daocportal as admin. I am not computer stupid... not not super savvy, so any help would be appreciated. I downloaded the free 14 day trial from EA 2 days ago. Then was told about this yesterday, so I downloaded it, watched the video and am not having any luck. Specifically it is loading the game and then stopping at 98% and then telling me to hit escape. then DAOCPORTAL tells me it can not connect to the server specified, wrong ip , update version, yadda yadda yadda.

I guess tomorrow I am going to delete both and redownload them. Using your daoc link. sad because it took forever for the patches to load... Hours!

Please search google fora download link or ask players in our IRC channel for the 1.109 game.dll. Uthgard Staff is unable to provide this

its pretty easy to find the DLL if you just try.

Google Daoc dll and the right one will pop up its like 1.109 or something

Thanks for those who helped. I had actually replaced the dll file a couple times, but it still didn't work. And until I got the right version it wasn't going to work. Funny thing is, I can get in game now but I get errors from the DAOCPortal , not being able to patch and Auto-update. I know this problem is on my side, I am admin on my computer but it wont let me change DAOCPortal to admin status. I have tried everything I can think of to let me change it. But oh well. If anyone else has had this problem, maybe you can give me a hint on what to do. And yes, I googled for a solution.

I am also having an issue connecting as admin with portal..

They are now patching the game because of this issue. Game goes down in 10 mins for patch.
