Forum account stuck in german

I'm not sure why my forum account is in german. At first a few tabs here and there were in german so I ignored it. But then I went to my profile to switch it to english, once I switched it everything went completely German and if I go back to my profile it's in german again!

click the english flag in einstellungen
click on british english

Thanks, I kept changing it and saving but I never clicked the flag. I guess that was the trick :)
