as I hope that mob-damage and thus pet-damage will be fixed soon and I expect my pet to do much more damage and take much less, I plan to respec RAs...also MoC3 didn't work out as well as I expected, as it is impossible to survive with it vs an average attacker in melee (ranger jumping me in melee, ns/sb, tanks etc.) if you run unbuffed (which i do 95% of the time)...
edit: I play solo at off-times most of the times...sometimes in grps at prime-time but my focus is solo-play ![]() currently I got (5L1) MoC3, MoF1, Mcl1, purge1...supposed to be solo-RA-spec but as i said..running unbuffed makes MoC useless if you're not a body-caby (which would kinda gimp me for grps)...in grp moc is useless too as caba has mana-issues so the mana we have should be used well and not be wasted to 75% spells (75% for the body debuff on a target with 26% body resist makes the debuff last hardly 2 nukes, wheee) my plan now: definitive RAs: purge1, mof1, lw1...which leaves 34/41 points... now I dunno what to pick... tough4 + pd3, tough3 + pd4, pd5? tough5? the 4/3 option would leave 4 points to be spent for something else... I already compared pd5 vs tough5: pd5 is 28% melee-resist...I got 990 hp without buffs...so where I died of 990 damage before i'll now die from about 1200 damage...BUT: in groups i got more hp and af-buff and so on, plus i get healed so pd will be a boost in grps... tough5 on the other side is plain 400 hp which leads to 1390 hp unbuffed...nice too and it is also useful against magic like dds, dots, dmg adds and so on... ofc with higher rr i'd pick pd5 + moc3..but that's not for now...as I can't play very often my RR is limited to 5L1 for now ![]() any idea? currently i tend to tough4+pd3...and pd4 later...but i'm not sure...also i will miss MCL, though i should have picked RP instead, as i usually need mana in combat and not out of it... please don't propose damage-RAs...i wouldn't have made a spirit cab if i really cared about these...trispec, body or matter cabs are more suited for these ![]() input from experienced pet-class-players in rvr would be most appreciated...on live I played a lot of caby but never really high rr (always made a new one, when I was at a mid-high-rr ![]() Genuine Spirit Cabalist since 2002

Don't forget about serenity and aug dex also important
![]() On higher rr you can try take mastery of magery to reduct dmg by resists. Best Sniper Ranger on Uthgard since 2007.

Ok lets sum this up. You are a solo caster and you run unbuffed. My conclusion is, no RA on earth will make u win if they are not full tanks, except MOC3 spam which u want to respec. If you want to run solo, you should not pick a Caster Class nor should u run unbuffed

First of all, basically all casters are not any good for soloing (expect BD and SM in some cases) since you ve almost no chance vs any viper3 stealther, whiche are like 99% of ur opponents and they wont attack u if they dont ve purge up. So with purge up ur only chance to survive is MoC2-3 or a fast stun of ur pet.
If u still want to play a solo Cabalist i would not go spirit since spirit is just usefull if u ve other debuff casters with u. So i d go body heavy. As RAs, 5l1 is pretty low and that is always pretty bad if u go solo and espacilly as a caster. You ll just be able to kill sth in most cases if u are able to drop an important RA. So i d try MoC2 Purge2 PD3 LW1 and run with DQ and Int Charge (the new one). For spec af just pull a Mob near ATK to ATK, switch ur robe to a robe with an AF reactive proc and wait till it triggers and switch back to ur SCed Robe with MHB and u start ur run. Anyway i d just do that if u really want to play a cabbi, it will still be frustrating. |

ty for input pweet...i know running a solo caster is frustrating...that's why i'm only 5L1 where other chars would have been 6Lx in the same time
![]() gonna try to run buffed when SI comes and charges are easier to get...got int charge on m taj-stuff, but don't have any d/q charges, except for pots ![]() moc2 + some pd seems not too balanced...moc2 wont keep me alive even with pd...and in grps moc3 is a waste of mana already so moc2 wont do no good...but you're right...without moc soloing will suck too, cause i have to rely on my pet stun only, which is russian roulette ![]() was thinking of making a 2nd caby, body spec...problem is, that body spec is sooo useless in grps...purp disease or blue doesn't really matter...and undebuffed body nukes, even if spec, suck as well, cause hibs/mids usually have at least yellow body-resist buffs which gives them ~40% resists...250 dmg per nuke, if at all!...and a pet that sucks, cause it has no speed... i prefer running solo to being bodycab and when pet buffs are fixed i'll be able to kill most visible solos (except for charge-tanks i guess)...which is fine in the early EU hours (6-7am), as there's not so many viper3-asns around when and more rangers or visibles ![]() ![]() Genuine Spirit Cabalist since 2002

you can not ve a grp friendly spec if u want to run solo as a cabby, so you need to decide what you want
![]() Int charges are craftable, not sure about DQ charges in alb, but should not be too hard to get. with both of them up and AF proc up u should survive with moc2 spam an bodyspec. |

Good luck farming the Ring of Arcane Gestures (the only 75 value d/q charge I've found in Albion so far) or buying it... last time I checked it was 150p with the new charge! |

best option would probably be settling for a 63 delve d/q charge ^^

i know...but i really dont like body spec...played all 3 specs on live and loved spirit most...in pve, zerg and keep-defs matter ofc ![]() ![]() as i said...i'll try with moc3 again but buffed...pots suck (though i still have barrels with dex, con, d/q and s/c ![]() ![]() Genuine Spirit Cabalist since 2002

ok once more, use a craftable charge since they are much better for int.

i did a few ran as solo cab, everything i needed was endu for kite so just buy some endu/reg end potions
![]() d/q would help too kite + desease, pet stun does all the rest if u need take the ra for 2nd quickcast obviously against charge u're dead and yes if u play solo spec body/matter would be better -reefe- |

ok let's assume u get to avoid PA very good and the assasin just hits u normally (talking about assasins/rangers, as the rest is simple "send pet and run")...as pweet said..a stealther won't attack a caster except his purge is up so qc-root is useless...then how can u survive without moc except for when the pet stun kicks in? i have won fights due to pet stun coming at the right time...but i lost way more fights, cause that stupid stun got resisted or just didn't trigger... i know how to play caby and i know the pros and cons of my enemies, but i do really have a hard time vs stealthers attacking me from melee-range, cause basically every1 always has purge up...vs low-rrs it might works cause they only have purge1 or something...but rr5+ have purge2 usually, which makes it impossible to kill them without pet stun...
