Hello, I just wanted to make this post and ask if a casual player has a place on Uthgard? I played plenty of years on live and frankly don't have the time/money and desire to mess with the TOA addons. That being said, Uthgard sounds like a good server for me as it is geared towards classic daoc. Also, I played Mid(50%), Alb(35%) and Hib(15%) on live. If there is such a place for a casual daoc player on this server, which realm would be most viable for groups pve/rvr?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

Hello there! All 3 realms are potentially viable. If you want to base your choice purely on activity and numbers, you may want to take a peek at the stats!

In regard to groups, it all depends on the classes and specs you want to play. Certain classes are always needed for PvE and RvR, others only have their area depending on the spec, yet others aren't seen grouped much at all.

As a casual player w/o any preferences in Realm, i d advice u to go to Midgard. There are by far the most PuGs for casual Players. If it is worth it or not, time will tell for u ;) But it is defenitly worth a shot since it is for free anyway.
Edit: Fortyseven was faster. He is right

Interesting. Yeah I'm pretty open to all realms, and can get into dedicated groups given the right people, but as many of you probably know, that usually takes some time playing together. I prefer melee classes, followed by casting, then healing.

Mids usually have 3-5 FGs running in Emain so of course it's easier to find a pug group there. Hibernia isn't too bad but from what I've seen on Albion, they're the least pug friendly realm but it could've been because I'm a crappy Reaver. :D
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

I guess the follow-up question would be...

Since Mid seems to have a slight edge on population, would it be better for action playing one of the other 2 realms?

Reavers are fun :P even if you are crappy!

The others are right, just chose the realm you like the most!
Even if 1 realm has a peak on pupulation at the moment, in some weeks it will be another realm again.
Blue knows how to perform headshots in daoc!
Blue: "Headshot, instant win."

Viva punk a lifetime!

Just make a Ranger, you'll have a nice life here.

Yeah was thinking about Ranger until I can afford to play a visible. Then probably bard/druid.

you have it the wrong way around bards and druids are affordable whilst a ranger or any stealth class are the most expensive to template
