Thanks for the event; I think for what it tried to be, it succeeded. I wouldn't want to play like that all the time but it was a nice change of pace. And to those complaining that it was an RvR event:

1) Having 3 separate PvE events (one for each realm; even if you mirror everything) would logistically be a big challenge, I imagine
2) If you don't enjoy RvR, you should perphaps be playing a different game anyway.

the event was good
there was some funny boss mobs and other stuff
lots of rp for small, large and zerg grps

and i think it can be a bit better without quets to get a lot of uthalis

than you havent to decraese drop rates and rewards at second day
some ppl starts event at second day

there was some ppl that got 500+ uthalis with perma questing, best i hear in alb was 1100+

but most of ppl dosent know how quests works and did less than 20 i think
Back to NF, NEW RA.

All in all i had fun at the Event even if it wasn't that what some expected. The zerg in the beginning was awesome even with this crapy Lags :D Later it was a little anoying because some wanted to check the quests and all those stuff but couldnt reach it. I just saw 2 boss mobs at all i think because some were down already and some we couldn't reach while zerged down before xD Same with Quests.. i've done 1! :P
Some wanted rvr and some wanted Uthalis. Personaly i just wanted to have fun but in some time there was just big QQing about The zergs and later about the Uthalis fix which destroyed fun a little. I still dont get why ppl are just horny about these Uthalis!!
I would say great job to you gm's for doing that.
And to all QQing i'm sure there was a time you had fun also! And that's the main thing :)

Very nice event. Perfect mix of pve(including the quests) and rvr-content for lvl 40+.
Maybe some more mobs to kill in a safe-area for lvl 10-30 and well some groups abused the teleporter a bit too much, maybe give it a 20sec countdown next time.^^

i managed to turn up on late Sunday with my duo partner, we ran around for 40 minutes getting totally lost, only found 2 blue mobs the entire time we were there, then got rolled over by an FGA.

All in all, was mostly bored to disappointed.

There was almost no information to go on for people who don't know the laby map yet it seemed that the set groups managed to have a fine time earning yet more RPs making that gap even bigger.

Decided to play alts and got 2 levels in dodens instead which was more fun :wall:

To be fair borog, you stated yourself that you were only in the zone for 40 minutes. This zone was open for 24 hours for a reason. I'm guessing that reason was 2 fold. One being that they wanted to make sure all players (American and Euro) had a chance to get in there and really explore the zone. The second one being, as you found out, that it was a HUGE zone that required alot of running around to figure things out.

We started with a zerg for the first 2-3 hours of the event then we realised that navigating threw that Labrynth with 3+ fg's of people made it almost impossible to try and do any of the encounters since we always had people running down random passages trying to get another kill. It took us having to run with smaller #'s to be able to go around and figure the encounters out. I was on from 2pm (CST-American) till 9pm and then from 2am till 6:30 am and we only found 3 or 4 of the encounters and there were alot more then that. So saying you were there for 40 minutes and couldnt find much is not very surprising. This event was not meant to be explored in 40 minutes, it was meant to take hours and not be easy to figure out. The good new's was that once you figured out a few of the encounters you would see that alot of them were very easy and could even be done solo if you had the patience for it.

My main Problem was, i have never seen Laby before and i was just lost, stumble around and tried to find an certain area again. (I played like 4 hours from the beginning of the event), just walk from bindstone was no option, cause zerg or some groups always waitet for poor souls, walking out. And with the port, you ended somewhere... and again no idea where i am and where to go :D

Well i found the forge and a npc, which seemed to be a quest-npx for that forge, but couldn't manage to get the quest done. And we killed Ispen. As he just died, nothing dropped and nothing happened, i guess this was related to another quest. But great fun to kill, cause always mids and hibs (i played alb) tried to kill us or steal the boss. Someone know's what Ispen was good for?

What's so sad about this event (my opinion), there were so much things to see and do but i just couldn't reach them. Well, bad luck, next time i go to sleep, as soon as the event starts and join later on, when it's not so crowded.

Btw. that big rolling stone was genius.... anyone else heared the the Unreal-tournament "M-M-M-M.Monsterkill" sound, when like 20ppl getting smashed?

Yah, it was a bit difficult to navigate, but after the first few hours of zerg'ing I had some what figured out the map. We had Mee and Nayeh to do most of our navigating and I helped a little bit when those 2 were afk or didnt know where we were. You have to realise that it wouldnt be a very challenging event if Abydos came out and said, "Ok, the event will be in the Labyrinth and here is a map with all the locations of things to do. Here is what you need to do to accomplish these tasks. Here is how you get to them...." If he did that then the event would be nothing more then a smash and grab for Uthalis and there would be no strategy at all involved.

I believe one of the reasons it was open for 24 hours was so people would have time to figure out where to go and what to do. If you had been to any of the previous events then you woudl understand that this was an improvement. Most of the other events put you in a zone for only 3-5 hours and it was a zerg fest the entire time AND you still had the same problem of not knowing where mob's and encounters are and what to do once you got there. At least this one gave you time to figure it out.

I spent 2 months building it and I could teleport places...and even I couldn't find things in there sometimes

Exploring and surprise meeting of other players was part of the intent.

Also, sorry about Ispen - he was supposed to grant scrolls to the killers, but I dont think that functioned right. He was reused from the easter event and lowered in level for Labyrinth.

No Problem with Ispen, just have been curious, what's the story about him. Anyway what i have seen so far was nice themed to Halloween, like those ghouls, spiders and ghosts which turned aggro sometimes were nice. Also other things like the rolling bouldering were really good. Thx for that, Abydos!

On a second thought, i should see it as a trailer for a good movie. I just plan more time for the next year to see the whole show
