Hi Jir
I see that you are in our alliance and we are glad to have you. We try very hard to keep some kind of action going every day the main problem is that we dont have enough people willing to MAKE groups and too many people just want to join a group thats being led by someone they know. All of this just takes time for people to get used too and to get to know others. I would suggest a couple things. 1. Sign up and post on the Alliance forums we really need more people to participate there as these are a very valuable tool for organizing things. Also I have a post there looking for people to join a special made Keep defense / taking group and a reaver is one of the classes I need. 2. download ventrilo and teamspeak as we use both in the alliance and when you do get in a group be ready to log into voice chat. because our best RvR groups require voice coms and if a player wont join us in voice chat then we will grp them if needed but we will always group someone who will get in voice coms first. 3. I would consider getting TWF-3 and purge 1 first as these are very useful in keep fights and Albion really needs more TWF. Use this to have some fun with and make some rp's then if you find that grps want a reaver with det-5 more you can always switch. But I personally would rather have a reaver with TWF-2/3, purge -1 and good guard/blocking in our caster grp than a reaver with det-5 and nothing else. 4. the RvR on this server is finally changing, for years it was only 8man in emain because there was no reason to do keep warfare but now there is, so you have the option now of doing both but keep warfare is going to be the option that will be the easiest to get rp's and grow your toon so that you can be good in 8man. 5. last of all don't be shy log into ventrilo and introduce yourself to me and everyone else because being in voice chat and knowing people is the best way to get picked for a group that's being made first. Also pop into teamspeak and get to know the guys in RDK the same works for them also. Both are there for the alliance to use and every guild should have its own channel in both. We have a very good alliance full of nice people that want to rvr but its up to you to take advantage of it. cheers mate |

It might sound rough, but you have to pick one char and stick it out!
Solo and die tons, even if you die, people will see your name and remember that you rvr a lot, besides you will get some rp's... Join groups, and don't leave after a wipe or two. When you finally have one toon who people invite, you can always say: "I also have xxx...", when people know you they don't mind inviting your RR4l2 new char, because they know you can play on a team. I'm not there yet, but I'm beginning to see more invites already, but it takes time, and lots of it. Albion and having fun

Hello mate,
My advice for you would be to never really stand around apk spamming /lfg, and if you find yourself in that predicament be aware you have other options! just take some solo runs on your reaver to amg - fast port times small run and your guarenteed hib stealther pops. I'd advise (if your 4l2) that you start guard tasking and get yourself a solo RA build. I'd go straight for purge3 at 4l5 so when you do make some solo runs on your reaver you've got a good chance of winning! Also maybe practise strafing as run through levi's could make you quite successfull fighting the ranger zergs! Once you get to rr5 everything gets a bit easier. Also start networking with wellknown RvR players once you have got a little bit rank/experience. |

Hibs need this port coupled with a short run. Would go a long way..

Just my 2 Cents;
Best Solution for all these Problems to find/build a RvR Group with Low RR are Thidranki till RR5. With RR5 every class get enough Basic RAs e.g. Det5 and so on and the Player behind the class have more time learning to play his class. Guardtasking from 4l2 till 5l0 is stupid PvE Grinding and not very effective for Character Mastery, I have a dream

agreed, its hard to play with 4l2 but its very possible if you play decent ![]() ![]() |

This has been discussed many times Tsim, but the fact is those that use the "I'm not high enough RR to compete at 4L2..." would use the same argument at 5L0. I personally know of several players that didnt think they were high enough to compete when they were above 6L0 and even a few that dont think they are high enough to compete at 7L, 8L, or even 9L+. If you made Thid cap out at 7L0, and you gave it a couple years to settle in, I firmly believe you would have posts asking if they would raise the cap in thid to 8L0 because they didnt think they could compete with other high RR's at 7L. On a different note, I agree with Akip to a certain extent. Yes, if all you do is do gaurd tasks and keep takes from 4L2 till 5L0 then you wont learn much on your toon. However, if you mix in RvR along with some tasks and keep takes you can gain RR's and learn a bit about your toon. It is VERY hard to compete at 4L2 in frontier RvR unless you have a very powerful solo class and/or you have a very good template and/or group to run with. When I was 4L2 on my ranger I basically would go out to AMG and see if there was any sort of action I could compete in. If I had no luck within 1/2-1 hour then I would go do some tasks. I would then come back after awhile and try it again. This way I was still making positive steps towards my RR's while also learning about how to play my toon in RvR. |

i really dont understand the issues here...i rarely play at primetime but when i play and i dont end up with some ppl i know in guilds and stuff i end up in a PuG...at prime time theres always pugs looking for ppl and if not just u make one...sometimes theses pugs even take 49s in, and your own realm doesnt know your RR...
just try a little...after a week or 2 ppl will know u a little and see u rather often...if you're not that bad in rvr they will invite you more often...also go for keep raiding grps...theres a lot of action there too ![]() a new toon is never a solution and as reaver you shouldnt have a hard time finding grps...i found grps too with not that grp friendly toons =) Genuine Spirit Cabalist since 2002

My RR4l6/4l7 chars are doing quite fine in RvR, and I rarely hear any negative comments about my performance.
More importantly, I don't feel gimped in fights. The biggest difference I've seen in fights, is if groups play often together or not! Groups like Lemonade, and such, they play well because they play together, their low RR is of little importance. Teamwork > Individual skill > RR Go out, die die die die... and learn! Try to play with the same people, and use voice communication. I've seen berserkers at RR10 who lets themselves be kited deep deep in, and die to a few nukes, minstrels who has no clue when to use sos in fights, cabalists/rm/elds who NS no one. Their high RR is like ****** your pants, it helps for a while, but it doesn't remove the fact that you're an idiot who's standing in ice-cold water. Please note, I have no chars at RR5+, and I think it's all fine and dandy. Albion and having fun

You need 4l5 for det5 not RR5. The man asked for advice for fresh out of thid chars, not advice on how he could stay there even longer. Thid does not produce character mastery as the skill level is quite low :p fighting vs better, higher ranked opponents however could be quite helpful! once he's got det5/purge3 soloing at amg during offpeak hours is better than staying in BG's for the rest of your life/rerolling when you cap (as it appears you do - no offense) |
