There is still a big difference between weakening the guard complement and outright opening the gates. The latter I would think should create a much bigger struggle over keep ownership. Because at the end of the day, and I wrote this before, getting rid of the guards changes nothing with regards to the actual relic raid. It just takes longer to get it set up. which on Uthgard would be a bad thing. Instead, if keeps start falling, people will go out and defend them because they know, if the last one falls, the relic is as good as gone - instead of camping the relic keep, as they do now. With a system like that you would still need some strong guards to make sure that the relic is not ninja'd during offhours by 1-2fg, but that shouldn't be a big deal, I would think. /edit: maybe to underline this again, this is not about making relic raids as live-like as possible, but to create a motor that gets constant RvR action going. The keep raid RP reward was a good step and shows that it can be done. This would take it even further.  |

When i look back the,to last days...always when i was online there was action sometimes HW or OG and in EMAIN aswell! *thumbs up*. Seems people wake up now and go again more RvR.

Is there a problem with the herald, claiming of keeps or anything else?
Or did the RP-reward increase lead into a "why should we claim keeps if we give more rps to our enemys then"-thing?  Kind regards, Chrissi |

I claimed one keep, leveled it up to 7, upgraded doors to 10. It was a day and night job to keep that fortress safe! But now Im'a release it when I leave for class/sleep as other players do not seem to defend when I'm not online. Essentially yeah, you are boosting RP's to the enemy if they take a claimed keep. It's only easy RP's if nobody defends them. "It's not fair unless I'm winning!" |

 Have forgot to fraps all conversation but it was about fensalir having 13 ppl trying to keep it, and someone just started to spam for unclaim it. It should be something that make the unclaim of a keep not be able while the keep is undersiege. 2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p

But still there will be the problem, if ppl dont want to claim, they wont

for me unclaim when attaqued must be impossible, claim should be possible to support ppl to defend their (realm) keeps.

unclaiming is annoying, but i guess ppl tend to think that if they unclaim it ppl will get less rp for raiding. takes time to downgrade so if they unclaim it the only thing they get is, no more information and max 1lvl down grade, since it needs 30min for 1lvl?

Uthgard community sucks and the best example is the keep claiming.
