I know its a little bit live-like but what about this:

A guild that claims a keep gets Realmpoints when paying bounty points depending on which keep is claimed:

Albion Keeps:
Caer Renaris: Albion=1k, Midgard=5k, Hibernia=5k
Caer Hurbury: Albion=1k, Midgard=4k, Hibernia=4k
Caer Boldiam: Albion=1k, Midgard=3k, Hibernia=3k
Caer Berkstead: Albion=1k, Midgard=3k, Hibernia=3k
Caer Erasleigh: Albion=1k, Midgard=2k, Hibernia=2k
Caer Sursbrooke: Albion=1k, Midgard=2k, Hibernia=2k
Caer Benowyc: Albion=3k, Midgard=1k, Hibernia=1k

Midgard Keeps:
Fensalir Faste: Midgard=1k, Albion=5k, Hibernia=5k
Arvakr Faste: Midgard=1k, Albion=4k, Hibernia=4k
Blendrake Faste: Midgard=1k, Albion=3k, Hibernia=3k
Glenlock Faste: Midgard=1k, Albion=3k, Hibernia=3k
Hlidskialf Faste: Midgard=1k, Albion=2k, Hibernia=2k

This can increase the amount of claimed Keeps in the Frontiers!

Then you can start to give Realmpoints for standing around or heal or all...

For teh herald, i think it would indeed motivate guilds to claim keeps. And this guild rp bonus for claimed keeps is even classic livelike i think.

Overall the only thing we really need is that the Relic Guards get more/less(even stronger/weaker) when you own more keeps or even when they claim or not.

You will never loose all your keeps then, cause your relic´s are weaker.

While there is some truth to that, please have a look at the relic raid situation 'as is'. It rarely happens...why? Not enough incentive, not enough players or rather zergs that need something to do... In fact, implementing the guard system will make relic raids more challenging without making them more rewarding. I am not sure that this will help RvR.

There are some more problems on Relic Raid not only the Zerg of that you can´t get the amount of player you need all the time. As we all know a big problem is that, Ranger can shoot through walls even without you can see them / nuke them. Last time i joinen a relic raid we were alot more then the enemys but for example my group died cause both Supporter had Ranger add and we weren´t able to heal and we can´t kill them...but i know thats another point.

I think at the moment the RvR is better then the last few month isn´t it? There´s always action even in Emain/OG, with 8man Groups or sometimes 16 Slots...someguys taking Keeps....Zergs also outside...in my opinion that change works very good...just wait all come back from other MMO´s and when its get cold outside more player will be online too and we have then more and more action.

A relic raid will not be challenging when enough keeps are taken before. It will be a walk in the park if relic guards are down. The task of the relic defending realm is to prevent that. It should hurt that a keep is lost.
