OK now that i have played for almost 2 weeks I have a few coments from a new player....

HOW THE HECK CAN YOU DO ANYTHING????????????
Now please excuse the CAPS but honest I am very frustrated. I have gotten lucky and got in a couple groups but all in all the only way i see to get in a group is be 49 +sc. Now how the hell can a new player get to 50 and get SC gear without any help or any play time.

This weekend I saw RVR to take keeps 40+.. I was 38. I worked and got in one group even rooted and healed to help and had fun but I worked all day sunday to get to 40 to go...
Then on monday it was 42+.. Now today I see 43+ for RVR or 49+sc.......Guys i watched a group ask for over 45 mins today to try to get one last 50......

For gods sake you cant even get an invite to BG's even if their are only 4-5 people... 90% of the time...

I have to say all in all the servre is awesome. People are very nice and even damn decent, but getting in a group sucks...
So what the heck is up.. Do i have to be LEWT god like supper player to do anything in rvr with othres?
If im worng tell me, or if another realm is better tell me Ill swap! Thnx

mmcrinson,

While I may not be your level quite yet, I too have seen lack of groups from leveling. I'm not sure if you are posting in LFG chat or not, but I have found that using a personalized message (ie /whisper) tends to work a little better than the chat itself.

At any time, you can try
Code: Select all
/LFG lfg <what you want to do>
to find a group

You can send a tell to the right player to find a group too, with /who <something> to find people, /send <player name> to ask
For exemple
/who 38 44 -> to list all player from lvl 38 to 44
/who Wilton -> if u want to see who is in Wilton

A lot of people want to play solo, so do not expect to receive an invite without saying anything. If you say nothing, people will think that you want to stay alone.
I was in starter guild with my first toon from lvl 1 to 50 and i often found a group.

For endgame rvr, try to have decent cheap stuff at least, before getting a full capped template, and you should be able to play fine enough to have invite and re-invite.
You play a druid ? It should be easy to be near the cap for everything without any ubah items, some epic armor piece and 99% quality spellcraft.

Find a good guild! I got extremely lucky with the guild I found/joined. Great people, outstanding leadership (guild leaders/officers). It's a very fun environment with good people.

But don't expect it to be any different there. It will be hard to get into a rvr group even with 49.
Maybe for keeptaking you can get a group with 45+. Thats why there are BGs...

But good luck anyway

Go and get some friends here!
Talk to ppl you lvl with, find some ppl who you like and get in a guild.
Let them take you within grps THEY know.
Ask them to go farm with you (gear for Temps).
Go on raids to achieve money.
You will meet new ppl. And sometimes you will meet a person who takes you with him in EMain.
First gate is open, step through it and prove yourself a good player.
Voila, you are now in Endgame RvR ;)

lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

I'm sure there are guilds out there looking for new members. What we probably miss is a central platform to advertise and represent the own guild. With that applying for guilds would be a bit easier for newcomers.

Maybe LFG can be improved to help newbies.

Difference is I don't need a guild to get around. But the point was still, saying a guild is good, management is good, when the fact is that the leaders of the guild got no clue who is in it even. And i've been in more populated guilds majority of the time, before you came to uthgard pweet :p

Not to mention my 2man guild is top10+ most active rp wise. ^^
