I had the game working fine on my computer last week, over the weekend my hard drive crapped out on me so I had to buy a new one.
Installed and updated to Windows 7 now, was running Vista on my old hard drive. When I select the path of "DAoC Installation" in the DAOC Portal settings, it gives me this error: Invalid Client: The DAoC Installation specified if not valid! The installation path is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot The only thing I have done since installing Windows 7 and running updates is install DAoC and DAoC portal. Please help! |

Be sure to run DAoC Portal and DAoC on Administrator. I had the same problem on Vista...

How to connect to Uthgard (21.6.12)
download DAoC from the official side (version should be 1.112 then) download the 1.109dll -google it put that file in this directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot, replace the game.dll (if you don't you get: You have not been invited to this kind of server! message) Download DAoC-Portal: (connect.bat=dolloader is soon not supported anymore) Install DAoC-Portal, it got many nice features. You need .net 3.5+ for it(on Vista/w7 or .net2 if you are using windows xp). http://www.dolserver.net/daocportal/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LplfL3Gn ... ure=relmfu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d0Kt1J6 ... ure=relmfu <-- since windows 7 and vista you need to run it as administrator + there are no eu servers anymore so you can't select it and you don't need to anymore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBH81rra ... ure=relmfu If you want to access to the old frontier zones you may should install the classic patch, found here in the Uthgard-forums in the downloads section in the left bar. You can download and usually double-click should install it into the DAoC-Portal. If it sais something about mods folder missing, simply create one in the DAoC-Portal direction and put the files in there. Than go to mods in DAoC-Portal and patch. if you did it in exact this order you can ignore the "installation path is not valid" error ![]() |

Just ignore this step. Downgrade to 1.109, apply mod, that's all you need. RIP : Ectoplasme
