Ok guys i know best duo with cleric is matter cab, i'am not here to heard that. me and a friend of mine gonna roll on alb as casual players, we mostly on hib playing our 50's toons.
btw, he wanna play cleric and i wanna play a melee char, but here is the dilemna :

i not sure what to take between mercenary and paladin. i like both but here comes the problems. mercenary has ok tanking and very good dmg but no endu regen while paladin has very good tanking, endu regen but hit like a little pussy.

knowing we will duo all the time without grping anyone (or it could happen but very rarely), what would be the best choice? which one will offer the best pve duo with cleric in term of lvling speed.

Paladin? Mercenary? Defend your opinion.

thx helping, regards!

Did you think about reaver? Maybe it can be a good alternative ^^ It tanks well, it can do dmg.

why not, but it is the same prob as mercenary no? Good dmg, no endu regen.

i m not closed to that possibility but the debate still the same.

Mercenary/Reaver vs Paladin or descent tanking + good dmg with no endu regen vs awesome tanking + pussy dmg and endu regen

well with cleric you don't have to worry that much about tanking imo, all the damage the merc will get should be healed easily, assuming you will kill oranges or even reds. However the merc would probably hit for more even unstyled without endu.

Yep, you dont need EnduReg if you spec Hammer. If you got a chainpull spot maybe all 4-5 Mobs a short endu reg downtime, thats it.

you get stun from crush very soon and you shouldn't worry about damage with cleric too much. Go DW imo.

Max DW, less crush, rest parry.
Pull with cleric, start by back chain, then stun with cleric and do positionnal chain again.
