Hi to everyone,

As the title says I'm not new to DAoC, I know something about Uthgard, but I'm totally new to Albion.
I played a lot on Midgard using the skald and now i'm looking to something similar on Albion.

By similar I don't mean I want something necessarily related with songs (minstrel), but something that is melee and uses magic as support and possibly to deal damage.

I know that the reaver is quite similar to what I want, but I also know that Uthgard (soon or late) will move to old RAs, and who knows a little more than me about Albion said that with old RAs the reaver in RvR will be quite useless. My fear is that I'm going to put alot of time in a class that will be useless at a certain point.

So i took a look at paladins, minstrels and friars.

Can someone please tell me something about these classes or suggest me a more adeguate one according to what i wrote?

Thanks :)

Old RAs aren't coming anytime soon, if at all. So you can go with Reaver if you want without worry.

Ok thanks, so, since it seems old ra will come very late i guess i'll stay with the reaver :)

Other few questions:
I read some guides about how to spec a reaver taking advantage of his autotrain.

1- Autotrain covers only flex and slash right?

2- between theese templates, which one in your opinion would fit best for a group rvr reaver?

50 Flexible, 45 Soulrending, 25 Shield, 25 Parry
50 weapon, 50 Soulrending, 20 Shield, 20 Parry
50 Flex, 42 scudo, 41 soul, 6 parry

If you know a better one for 8vs8 rvr feel free to write it :)

1. Yes, Reavers autotrain Flexible and Slash.

2. Best for group would be 50 Flexible, 42 Shield, 36 Soulrending, then rest into Parry. The 41 SR build is better for soloing I think.

y go high parry. if u lvl in grps it doesnt matter if u r crush or flex, for soloing flex is better but then u wont ve AT. it s no must ve on a reaver but still nice to ve.

How about 50 Flex 50 Shield for grp?

Much difference between 50 and 42 shield?

42 is enough to get slam, imho i don't see any advantage in putting more points, considering that to move 42 to 50 you will use 382 points that can be used to raise a lower skill to more than 8 skill points

Alright. So I guess 50 Flex, 42 Shield, 41 Soul, or is the Parry Spec better for grp also?
