Hi guys,
I tried to make DaoC ready for Uthgard last night and I encountered a problem with DaoC portal. I used the direct links from your website to download both the DaoC client + DaoC portal. I updated DaoC portal and when I tried to "browse" for the DaoC directory on my HD via settings it says "The DaoC installation you specified is not valid" I'm using a 64bit version of Windows7 - I hope that's not the problem? I appreciate your help! Cheers |

Did you update your daoc client by running camelot.exe?

He said he updated the client, i think he need the dll. Download this game.dll, and paste it in your daoc folder, and you should be able to log in and play : http://www.mediafire.com/?kqo1gmf055exp6z 2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p

dunno what version exactly - I d/led it from this website - thanks for the hint - going to try that when I'm @ home!

I am having the same difficulty:
When setting my "Daoc Installation" pathway I get an "Invalid Client" pop-up. Thanks for any help! |

install .net4.0 and resinstall daoc portal completly (delete all folders too manually)

checklist ok? go that through step by stetp.
download daoc (camelote.exe) should be 1.112b afterwords (top left side on login screen should be the version you are running on) download game.dll (1.109) replace old dll by new one. download .net4.0 install it download daoc portal install it run as administrator update it chose daoc dir after apply patches(classic/crafting/tajendi) run daoc |

Simply skip this step, just replace the game.dll with an older one. You are the third talking about this problem on the forum, the 2 other has skipped this step, and it has worked. viewtopic.php?p=249685#p249685 RIP : Ectoplasme
