A little bit extreme^^

I think as a hybrid you're good with either Purge 3 or Det 5 (which you can get at rr4L1/4L5).

I would suggest Frost for grp-play. You have more dex (Block, cast) and more Acuity (which will be 50% of your damage while rooted/killing pets/Instant DD through Bubble).

I am against that whole "They don't have stoi!!" thing and in my opinion a good played Thane will rock (more utility than a Skald tbh)

another nice thing about the frost thane is you are considered a seer at first sight...and some misguided pets on you is a beautiful thing ;)

Dwarf! Dwarf!

And yes skald had less utility than thane, it a RA bot most of the time :( perma rooted, perma mezzed during the fight.. at least the thane had slam, interrupts, and determination :-/
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

I'm a happy norse thane, don't have lack in dex or str, I'm somewhat at the center of extremes.

However I've specced different then most Thanes, I've gone for a more melee aproach.

44hammer
45storm
42shield
rest parry

Norse is a pretty good grp-choice.

Troll and Frost are extremes.

I'd like to play a Troll with 50 Weapon (I guess sword for Solo, Hammer for grp) 42 Shield, rest SC :D

playing thane for several years and i would say it rly depends on your playstyl.... if you like casting then nothing is above frostalf, but in solo rvr you mostly are in melee so the troll is better
for grp i would say troll or norse

spec solo:
39 hammer
44 sc
42 shield
24 parry-> you'll need it vs all those dual wielders

or

29 hammer
44 sc
35 parry
42 shield

spec grp:
50 hammer
38 sc
42 shield
10 parry

For grp Frostalf for sure. Nothing beast having an assist train on you because they think you're a healer.

It's got nothing to do with the "trick from 2001" even though frostalves are from 2004. You can't tell the difference if they dress up well and haven't casted yet. There's just no way.

Nothing dumb about that, Frost-healer and Frost-Thane look exactly the same ;)

this just works one time, then ppl know that you are the slaming healer...especialy on uthgard where ppl know their enemys very quick, thx to low population in rvr, but nice to see that there are some ppl who force to get dumbed by not using their brains...
maybe this rly works!! xD
btw inviting a thane to be a better mhb is just misinterpretation of the thane class and wont work very long either way...

dont try to play a full-cast-thane... this simply doesnt work here cuz of missing revision of the stormcalling spec-> low dmg, and missing amount of power.... you are OOM just too quick to be usefull.

prove me wrong

Due to not live-like Shield (every Troll blocks nearly the same as a Koby) and low Mana, a troll is better in grp. More Meeledmg, screw casts (too less Mana anyways) and same Block
