You dont need to download catacombs (2.2gb) you can also choose TOA (1.4 GB)

I am not sure which version of the game you will get when downloading the whole thing.
If you are lucky you will end up with version 1.83 or less.

Dont start camelot.exe!
Your client will update to the latest version and you will have problems while crafting.

Use the dolloader to start the game.

You are right Gerbald, unfortunetely. But, is there any possibility to find oldest patch or game version ?

If there really are sources for versions older than the current live version (I actually doubt it) you are most welcome to post them. On the official servers you can only download the most current version. As soon as a new upgrade is available the older one gets replaced. (Sometimes European servers are one step behind US servers - so that's a good source for the pre-current version. But only until they become par to US.)

I've just tested T-man's instructions, and downloaded european version of Catacombs + Darkness Rising update.
You are then in 1.80. But it does not work: you can connect to uthgard and see your perso but cannot play (crashes).
I've found a Setup_dr_183-184.exe and tried to install it but it's worse (crashes before you reach the perso)
I'm then still looking for update from 180 to 183...

Ok, I have tested it on my computer. Same result as you describe.

Here something to think about:

1) Did you run Catacombs right after installing it? You'll have 1.85 and should be able to play.
2) By running the DR installation you are actually downgrading from 1.85 to 1.80. (Don't know what Mythic/GOA are planning in providing this outdated file...)
3) Try running camelot.exe in your DAoC directory after installing DR. This will bring you back up to 1.85.

Sorry T-Man, my answer is not very clear: my objective is to get a runnable version older than 1.85, ie 1.83 or 1.84, in order to be able to craft Alchemy.
Otherwise, I'm currently playing on 1.85 without problem
I did not mean your instructions were incorrect

I'm afraid, you won't find an older version on the internet.
