Hello,

Out of memory. please free some memory, then choose retry

When i click on "Dismiss", there is another window who tells :

runtime Error!

Program:...Files (x86)\electronic arts\dark age of camelot\game.dll

this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
please contact the application's support team for more information

edit oups english forum sry :D

I'm not sure if it works, but you can change the process priority of the game.dll in the Taskmanager under processes and if your a bit lucky the process will be asigned more CPU and RAM.

How much ram do you have? And what OS are you using?

I have also this error, but it appears only after porting AND playing about more than 12+hours in a row daoc (lol)

if i push a bunch of times "skip" than the error will be ignored and comes again after a port.

only problem what happens when doing this, that my classic patch will be deactivated till i restart daoc via portal

edit.: and i have tons of free space and enough ram for sure :p

Was there a solution found to this problem? I am having it recently too, and my laptop has 200GB of free hard disk space and 6GB ram, but game.dll eats it up extremely rapidly even when nothing else is running and the game usually crashes when it reaches 2GB ram. This was not a problem for me a few weeks ago. I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

EDIT: Found this result but it doesn't seem to be an ideal fix. Haven't tried it myself yet:

make sure your pagefile is sufficiently large enough. It should be a minimum of 2x the amount of ram you have installed. Windows doesn't have to use all of it, but it likes it to be reserved just in case.

DAOC is a 32 bit process, so regardless of the amount of RAM you have, it is limited to 2GB (actually slightly less). If you're using a custom UI that is rather large you might not have much 'wiggle room'. Also make sure your video drivers are up to date (or possibly use an older version, if they are the newest already).

I updated grafic driver 3h ago. I were able to play 3hours but then it crashed :D I guess because daoc wanted to use 2gb+ it crashed.
SO the question is, why does my daoc need more than 2gb.

It needed 900mb when i zerged on blue sunday with 90 mids against 70 hibs :D but for 3 days its sometimes 600-900mb then I can play and sometimes it raises suddenly to 1.9gb+ and then it crashed and there is no dif if I stay housing or zerg. Sometimes it crashed after 10min and sometimes after hours.

If you're using a custom UI, try with atlantis UI.

Many UI's have custom maps which are rather large

So i used that with page... The memorie error does not appear anymore but now i got the error: game.dll does not work anymore and my taskmanager said: 1.9gb daoc. So i guess the problem is daoc xD I will now lower all effects and i will use toa skin not catas. IF that does not work i will reinstall daoc.

Edit: it does not work xD
