finally worked for me : had to remove the uthgard patches, repatch from live and redo the downgrade + uthgard patches
 ...Portal 2.7 still not working under winXP SP2 : using 2.6 without problems  For the downgrade patch, you need to target the "Electronic Arts" directory if i remember well (for example : C:/program Files/Electronic Arts, your EA folder encapsulating the "Dark age of Camelot" folder). Think i read that the patch was quite specific with the names ^^. |

Finally got portal 2.7 to work with xp sp2 ^^ needed the .NET Framework 3.5 (woops ^^).

i still cant get the downgrade patch to work, i just installed doac, fresh install.
any ideas? EDIT* well, just uninstalled, trying another install, then trying the downgrade, i installed some of the patches for Uthgard. that might have caused a problem alright, got my downpatcher to work. had to get it from a different site.. unfortunately. |

That worked for me. Can we get the How to Connect updated with this for brand new players that try to join? They may get frustrated and not realize the quick fix is this. |

Ughh, i had the game working fine and then updated the pather to 1.11 - im just curious how to replace the game.dll as in mentioned in other posts. I cant find it - and the 1.11 to 1.09 download will not work for me. Trying to do this without the uninstall because i have no disks or whatnot - thanks

Go to your DAoC folder, it should have listed game.dll, it might help if you turn on show extensions to notice the dll faster. But if you download the 1.109 from the link I believe I quoted it above 2 posts, just place that in DAoC folder if you can't find game.dll and override it there. |

i used like 1 ½ hour on this, had a guy from Bull Guard logging on to my comp , he ofc had no chance to know connection stuff about games i play, but he coukd help me with the blocking problems.. then i downloaded that dll filr and problem was solved... Thx a lot Austrim love u long time if i had done that from the start it would have taken 1 min not 1 hour 45 min  |

Been looking for a downgrader, or game.dll, since I have a new install with client 1.111 and cannot connect via Portal.
But each link in this thread showing a game.dll or downgrade patcher is either now malware or some bogus program, so don't waste your time. One was vGrabber? and the other was some virus my scanner caught. |

Im trying to get downgraded but the DL's posted here are now expired. is there somewhere else i can DL the .dll and then how do i apply it? ( im computer newb)

- New: UDP support for newer version (should create a smoother experience once v1.110+ is supported) I'm still playing with old version of client, but it seems that you can play with latest version now. Last edited by HulkGris on Dec 01, 2012 02:52, edited 1 time in total.

Im getting a problem on freeshards. i just finished playing yesterday and have changed nothing and today i try to log in and uthgard doesnt show up on server list. and when i try to log into another server just to see, it says " The game client cannot be started" and thats it. i have no idea whats happening and the website shows people playing. please help thanks!
