![]() Community Name: Covenant of the Phoenix In-Game Tag: CotP Membership: International Website: http://covenantofthephoenix.com Forums: http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com/forums/ Charter: http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com/home/guild-charter APPLY TO JOIN HERE http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com/forums/topic/269-application-to-be-a-member/ The Covenant of the Phoenix is a multi gaming community that has been around since 2000 with chapters in: AC-DT, SWG, CoV, Guild Wars, LotRO, EQ2, UO, PotBS, DDO, Vanguard, Age of Conan, WoW, DFO, EVE, Lord of Ultima, Runes of Magic, Rift, Xsyon, World of Tanks, Magic Online, LoL, SWTOR and Tera. More chapters will open up as the need arises. As of right now, GW2 and ArchAge Online loom largest on our radar. Let's face it, games come and go. When looking for a guild, you will want one that is willing to expand into other games and has a history of stable leadership. A guild can make or break a person's experience in a game. Different guilds for different folks. The trick is finding one that will become more like a family than a guild and will last throughout the years. We are much more than just a guild, we are a family. The community is very active in the management of the guild and the website. All members are viewed as equals and are not considered just another number. Our members are very friendly and helpful both in the game and on the forums. The guild was founded on the principles of loyalty, honor, and brotherhood and thrives because on-line adventure games are more fun in the company of kindred spirits. The guild's goal is to meet and keep gaming friends, and together, expand into other games as member interest dictates. Our membership ranges in age from teens to the comfortably retired and geographically spans the globe (although most are adults residing in the North American continent). Most of us have jobs or college commitments and families, and therefore we support the premise that real-life has priority over game-life. So power gaming isn't required. While we may be a multi gaming guild, we have always taken strides to maintain that close knit family oriented feeling that is often associated with smaller guilds. I encourage anyone that is looking to join a mature gaming community to visit our site, in any case, it doesn't hurt to look. So, please feel free to visit us at: http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com Stable Community (10+ years) Mumble VoIP Great Website Active Forums Helpful Members |

I just wanted to take a moment and add to the official "formal" guild posting. COTP has recently established a chapter on DAOC Uthgard - Albion side. We currently have around 15 individual active players of various classes. As we have been playing on the server for less than a week our levels are on the low end. Our players are in the lvl 1-20 range. We plan on being active on both the RVR and PVE front. We will also be hitting the BGs once we hit the appropriate levels. We are an international guild but the vast majority of our players are from the US and active during US primetime. That being said all english speaking players are welcome.
The reason we picked the Albion faction was primarily due to forum research. The general consensus that we found was that Albion is currently the underdog realm. Therefore, we picked the realm to embrace a challenge. Feel free to respond to this post, hit us up on our forums, or message me in game. -Secos/Kolvak |

I have been a part of the CotP community for eight years and consider it the premier gaming guild for mature gamers who value long-term stability and a family style atmosphere no matter what game you choose to play.
This community and it's members are currently and concurrently enjoying end-game raid level content in SWTOR: (2 separate chapters - PvP & PvE), Rift, Runes of Magic, EQ2, EVE Online, and LotRO. If you value the time you spend enjoying MMO's and want to spend it with other mature gamers who manage to rake in end-game PvE and PvP content no matter what kind of gaming schedule our member's real life schedules allow for, Covenant of the Phoenix is the community for you. http://www.cotp.info/forums/ |

Just a quick update. COTP now has currently anywhere from 30-40+ individual active players. We hit up to 10-12 online at once at certain times of the day. Our players now range in the entire lvl 1-50 range. However, most of us are still leveling up. We've been active in the BG's, most notably Braemar and Wilton. We do have both EU and NA members in our guild. We have also purchased a guild house. If you are either a new or veteran member of the server and are looking to join an active friendly gaming community, then look no further. We are still recruiting players of all levels and we have big plans for our guild on Uthgard Albion. ![]() -Secos |

If you notice this behavior going on you can contact Secos or myself in game. Making an accusation with no evidence on our recruitment post does nothing to help us take steps to stop any possible negative behavior. We do not condone griefing in any form. If you witness this happening please consult us. Thanks. |

As Beylir stated I have heard of zero instances of any members of COTP griefing other players. If you have a specific circumstance you would like to discuss please PM me here or contact me in game. -Secos |

In DAOC a lot of different people often ask me this question. What type of guild are you? In DAOC you can be one of several types of guilds.
-Hardcore 8 man RVR guild -PVE raiding guild -For the Realm! Keep takes, Relic Raids, Realm defense My answer to these people is often "We want to do it all". Some people in DAOC think you need to specialize as a guild in order to be effective. I respectfully disagree. I believe that a balanced approach is often the best approach. As a player of DAOC on and off for 10 years I know a guild can achieve success in multiple areas. Here are some of the things that we aim to do here at COTP. -PVE - groups for xp, farming items, epic bosses -RVR - small man, 8 man, over 8 man (as needed) -For the Realm - Keep Takes, Relic Raids, Opening DF Here are some of the things we won't be doing. -Dictating to players how they must spend their time while they are in the game. It's your time, we're not going to force you to do things that you don't want to do. -Elitism - Force players to play a certain class or spec their class a certain way. -Elitism in RVR - Yell or degrade other players in RVR for adding on our fights. Finally, we will always endeavor to keep it classy. |
