The Midgard USA Easter Event

Hello everyone,
Thanks for participating in the USA Easter Event. All in all, it was terrible...... we were completely outnumbered by Albs and Hibs. They had probably 7-10 FGs each while we had 4-5 at any given time zerging together. And, people were not listening to me and Ivann when trying to kill the bunny. I am a little annoyed also because we were getting farmed at our spawn by people on the ledge right next to the so called "safe zone." Above all though, I mainly went to collect uthalis and we walked away with maybe 2-10 uthalis each, while I heard other realms got 200-300 uthalis each. THANKS ABYDOS, YOU GUYS REALLY KNOW HOW TO MAKE EVENTS FAIR. I don't think this should have been a winner takes all event, as it clearly was with how small the zone was. Sadly, about 1/2 of all the people who even participated were complaining at how useless this event was, or any GM event due to the odds always against Midgard and how we typically just get farmed. Oh well.. I dont mean to just QQ - Just a little annoyed and want to vent. ![]() Thanks everyone who participated across all realms! -Arnooagi An age is called Dark, not because the light fails to shine, but because people refuse to see it.

LOL?!
To be honest, i was in the hib bg, but anyway at the european event the people were more focused on the PvE part of the event. In the hib bg there were also only a few with some eggs, and at the end the people who got an egg said they have 1 or 2, so maybe your information was just to diss u or tatally false? ![]() The outnumbered fact i also would not confirm, maybe your bg was not able to move together but numbers were more or less equal i guess. Hib bg were also only 4 to 5 groups or at least at the time where i checked. Event was fun, but it was more or less a RP rush and not an Uthalis farm event since the partitioning community decided to handle it like that.... Thx staff for hosting events ![]() Just my 2 cents... |

Yeah i was on my hib toon. Everytime i checked we had approximately 40 in the bg (many sub 50 and some sub 40 players), so if you saw 7-10 groups then i have no idea where they were. The bg had intentions of trying for uthalis, but if part of the bg saw enemies that got shot right out the window. It seemed like everytime we where going to try to kill something, we were getting rushed by mids and/or alb (that was the intention right?).
From what i saw in battle chat, the most uthalis anyone in the bg got was 10 uthalis. Personally i only received 2 and that was right at the very start. As far as uthalis goes... i would highly disagree with the 2-300 uthalis number... maybe albs got that much this time.. but in the first event i got 49, and that was broken down by killing the easter bunny once (got 3 broken eggs) then killing the boss at the top of the ship near the end of that first event. |

I wasnt there for all of it, but I was there for the first 2 hours and the Hib BG in that time never exceeded 45 people. As Mee pointed out many of those 45 people were well under lvl 50. In the 2 hours I played it seemed that Mids had similiar #'s to us but maybe a few less, but Albs I think had the most by far. I received the same 2 uthalis Mee got at the very beginning. Other then that the only thing I got was some fun RvR in a different zone (made about 12k) and 2 uthalis. I thought it was a good time, but I could see where you would be frustrated. Nothing worse then losing something only because your outnumbered..... Not that you and Skarz would know anything about that.

The zone is actually pretty large and there was a lot that you could do. The Uthalis reward required teamwork, something that all 3 realms seemed to struggle with last night as each realm had multiple small groups.

Aye, I dont know if the Hib's corrected their course, but we were having a very hard time keeping everyone togehter and on the same page. We would get everyone together and while moving towards an encounter a few people would see some Albs/Mids in teh distance and go chasing, then another group would follow, then another.... next thing ur standing w/ 10 people when you had 40+. I thought the event was fun, the reson the encounters were not being completed was because everyone was more worried about rp's. Makes me laugh too, RP's are available 24/7, 365 days a year on this server. Its called Frontiers/DF/BG's, these encounters are what you only see a handful of times a year. Oh well, was still fun

So back to PvE riddle events

no RVR events are fine! |

I agree with Preak, I think the event was perfect. Was nothing wrong with it at all. The reason people didnt get Uthalis was because they didnt stick together and to many wanted rp's. I thought it was perfectly fine, I just wish the players themselves had listened a bit more and actually tried the encounters more often while I was there.

You brought a hunter to the event. 'Nuff said.
j/k ![]() I thought the event was awesome personally coming from a Midgard point of view. I showed up a bit later in the event because of my schedule, but at least when I was on the zergs seemed fairly even. We killed and were killed, made 27k rps, can't complain about that. I did hear that the early portion was a bit unfair as far as numbers go, but that just means bringing more people in to zerg, which is what happened. Sure it may have been nice to get a little bit more boss raids in, but unless all 3 realms were committed to it instead of zerg rvr, that wasn't happening last night. I can tell you that every member in my guild that was in the event had a friggin blast. Maybe if you focused on having fun instead of worrying about how much uthalis you can get, it would have turned out better for you. The whole idea of the events is to create fun, not uthalis. Uthalis just happen to be a small part of the events. Special thanks to Uthgard for letting the US people get a better opportunity to be apart of these. I'm hoping we see more of these in the future, so eventually we just may be able to coordinate well enough to do the pve part of them at some point. Practice makes perfect. |

who cares about uthalis?

Event was fine, Midgard just wasn't organized. Most people have really hard time seeing yellow ****** letters and understanding english, that's all. However, event really did not offer anything for soloers(except leeching some RPS from the shadows) or for someone who wants to enjoy quests. It really was a huge zerg, nothing else. Zone was way too small, and gave plenty of time for players from any realm to wait for their rezz sickness to pass, and still zerg the other realm's players so they can't complete the quest. First event was ok because we were all exploring, but second was a zerg fest, nothing else xD. Any kind of event is ok though, so it wasn't bad all in all. Only thing that bothered me is that you could not avoid zerg. It really has nothing to do with "teamwork". It does to an extent, but like I said, zone was just too small. Other realms had plenty of time to screw up your questing, even if they failed once. Well, I might have expected that the second time. Like I said, first time was nice so no point complaining
![]() For example, if someone was on a week long vacation(which certain number of people probably was), one needs to wait for next religious holiday to get some uthalis and fun. It would be cool to have more frequent events, but with less rewards. Basically, even if you miss some events due to work or whatever, you can still gather some uthalis within a certain period and maybe do some xp quests so your brain does not die from grinding hulks or whatever ![]() "He was concerned only with the naked fundamentals of life. The warm intimacies of small, kindly things, the sentiments and delicious trivialities that make up so much of civilized men's lives were meaningless to him. A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women." |
