Preamble: i'm not interested in any kind of flame or argument. I just want a technical answer.
Here are the facts 1 We went to Yar, killed him, waited almost 2 hour. No repop 2 We went to Yar, killed him, waited 1 hour 45 minutes. No repop 3 like point number 1 Three times there, three time of an exausting and frustrating waiting. Don't wanna seem rude, but I got no time to waste like this. So I just would like two clear answers: 1 Is the repop in minutes a fixed interval or just random? 2 If random which is the minimum and the maximum of this interval in minutes? (e.g. like 10 to 300 minutes) Thank you in advance for the help. I just want to play this game with a little satisfaction and joy every now and then... |

yes we got the same issue...been 3 times in 4 week and first time no pop in 3 hours waiting!2nd time he pops 2 times in 20 minutes and 3rd time no pop in 2h! this is very frustating because you need only 1hour to reach the spot and so no repop!
![]() |

Livelike that he got a % of chance to spawn
![]() |
|
May I please ask you to be more specific... I'm just trying to optimize my game time ![]() |
|
Every X minute he got Y % chance to spawn ![]() |

I realise that this is not on topic with the OP, but you used to be able to farm Centurion in Taj1 for the Signet of the Fallen rings which have VERY low chances of dropping. He would usually respwn every 10-20 minutes. We went there the other day and he never respwned. I know they made a change to Tajendi awhile back saying certain mobs were respawning, I'm guessing this was one of those mobs. That sucks if so, it was hard enough getting one of those rings w/ the 2% drop rate on them, now you have to restart the instance every time?

Yep, i got that ![]() I wanted to know if you knew how much "X" and "Y" are... |
|
Explore and find out ![]() @RonELuvv - It might have caused centurion to not respawn. Will ask the others if this will stay like that or if we will change centurion. |
|
I dont know how to answer that. Listen to me son, when I log Daoc after a day at work, my aim isn't exatly to stay in a spot for 2 hours doing nothing but waiting. It has nothing to do with "exploration", it's all about frustration. In other threads there are clear formulas about attack, parry and a lot of game mechanics, why all this secet attitude about Yar?
If it's like 2% every 10 minutes me, and my guild, would do a Yar ride then suicide and re-try some hours later, instead of staying endlessly in the spot for nothing. Sometimes it seems so hard for Uth staff to understand thet people play mainly to have some sort of fun ![]() |

We never have, and never will give out exact spawn and/or drop %s ![]() |

Offtopic response re: Tajendi changes -
It was unintentional that ANY mob in Tajendi was respawning. |
|
I'm not interested in complex formulas and equation for drop rate and respawn, it's ok to me that this kind of code is "secret", I was just asking for a raw (even really raw) approximation, like "around 5% in 60 minutes" or something like that. Just to figure out if it has sense to camp Yar spot for hours waiting for him to repop PS (Shattering bracer as we speak, anyway, has a totally insane price) |

Then the answer was in 2nd post
So you can assume that X is between 0 and 10 ![]() Rhyniel - Cleric <Symposium>

You should up the droprate for the ring and weapon he drops then if that's the case. Otherwise they'll be impossible to get. [3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

Like every item im taj? See staff of tal'esh etc.? So it was a bug, this mob respawned. |
