mobs in emain again ^^

can we please discuss this without flame? Just give it a try please.

As the mobs bring no benefit (no one in his right mind will level there), but are a bit pesky for rvr, i would prefer to have them removed when they are a custom change.

This mobs are wrong (no flame just a statement), and of course just my memory (but very sure about this). There never where hounds in emain, some solo cliff beetles (or whatever they where called in english), here and there yes, but most important not this amount of mobs.

I just get tired of answering every new player in group that played in these times on live the same questions. Can't be that every one here rememberes this wrong. :wink:

A valid point by abydos was that maybe goa had a custom change there? Could someone who played on US servers back in the days give his opinion about the number of mobs (not the type, as cliff beetles are not implemented we all agree that the type of mobs is wrong) in emain?

guys my opinion either they existed or not those mobs are bad because they are placed in spots that we have many 8v8 incs .Anyway i agree with holsten on the removal of those mobs asap.

No flame or something like this but i'm really sure this amount of mobs is wrong.

I know GOA didn't customized Mythic zones.
Maybe for an event or so, mob spawns were changed but never permanently.

I think spawn points are correct but the amount or spawn rate/chance of mobs is to high and the mob typ is wrong.
Do not get me wrong, i like the idea of more level spots in frontiers but this is seriously not livelike and nobody will level at this spots.

The amount seen is not right. Thats true as radared mobs most propably include respawns. But saying there should be no mobs is definitely a wrong statement.

Yes, thats true, i think most people complain about the amount and not about a few mobs in this regions.

in camelot hills are cambions/lilisspawn/necyomancer and chthonic knights near cotswold :D

sure, no one wants emain without mobs. I don't complain about some mobs there (as i said there were some solo cliff beetle at this spots). And even this amount of mobs do hasstle a bit in fights there but not too much, as they are grey. It just does not feel live like (aka right).

I guess the point is that if they got that wrong, how reliable are the Emain data then? Especially since this map:

the dots on such radar maps mark points where a mob has been seen - so CAN be - not that every dot is a mob. So if a cliff beetle could spawn in an area of lets say 1000 units on 10 difefrent spots there will be 10 dots, but it was just one mob.

edit: at least most of the time, if its not a single radar snapshot. When it is a long time surveil of an area for such things as mob spawns there are multiple dots for mobs with diffrerent spawn location.
You could check if this kind of map you used is such if you have a named mob that has more than one spawn point... sadly i don't see a named in the registar (or who the fu** is gron? A Named grogan? If so he has 2 dots and i am correct).

Guess that is all the mistake here :wink:
