so i'm coming back after being gone for about a year and am curious about the current state of rvr, namely small man/solo action - is it any more viable than it was when i left? definitely like to play solo though i have a number of visible chars in addition to my ranger. would like to 8man or pug but don't know anyone and rarely seemed to be able to find decent pugs or a good guild to play with, even on my sorc or healer.

any advice on how to get back into rvr?

There plenty of "good" guilds on alb, but unless you been seen out there freqvently you wont get invite for grps.. Unknown players/chars rarely find grps for 8man, and smallman, ur more dependant on knowing som ppl and play alot with them.

My advice, try build ur own grps, smallman etc and you Will get noticed.
Then after some time you would get tells from ppl when they looking for grp members.

How that differ from your last time I have no clue. Another option would be to try join active guild.

that's how it was then too, when i went through periods when i played alot on my sorc it was easier to find decent groups. i assume the stealth game in emain is still as zergy?

I'm sure Death Row will invite your ranger for some 8 man amg action maybe some 16 man. Alb has lately been stealth zerging/countering too even seen mids running fg stealthers I think. However Uthgard cookie seems to still be 8 rangers hugging one wall. More seriously, Alb is probably the least active in RVR at the moment would love you over there but can be frustrating not getting groups since most run are set guild grps who occasionally need fillers. Sorc is probably one of the best classes to get in guild grps with even though its one spot so get your name out there. Also, welcome back and Ori I'd say welcome back but you never seemed to leave:)
