I don't know if you followed the thread but I had to delete everything (DAoC and DAoC Portal) and redownload the client to my C drive (c:\program files\etc...) The problem may be that the game wasn't installed on the original installation path, so try that if you had done like me and installed it in a different place.

Once the client was installed on the c drive, I patched to 1.11 using the DAoC client, then ran the downgrade, copied my entire folder again to a new spot so I would have a copy of the game client that would never get patched again by the Mythic patcher. I finally installed DAoC Portal again and followed the instructions from the forums in the getting started guide. Let us know if this works for you or if the problem is different. You should list any error messages you're getting too, it helps pacific debug the issue.

Just made some tests:

-the patch is still working then the problem comes from your side.

-You have to know: if you have moved the daoc folder from his native place, (when u run the mythic patcher it will always try to patch the game at his native place....) the mythic patcher wont work anymore. The Easiest way to solve this problem is to reinstall the game from scratch or to replace the game at his native place. I suppose, The other way is to play with your Registry but you have to be Skilled! if you dont know how the Registry works DONT Touch IT.

I've got a bug with DaoC Portal 2,7 atm : it crashes at connection.
Got connected with remove/install 2.6 without problem though so I need to be carefull not to patch at start up :p

Also got a message at may last connection saying :"you didn't install the uthgard classic patch".

Verified my portal, removed and installed but it gets buggy and won't even start the game ... I get a black full screen then a windowed black screen and back to desktop.
I also removed / reinstalled DaoC fully (1.111 latest) made a full patch downgrade then Uthgard patches with portal but nothing more:/...
(former install was in folder c:\Games\Electronic Arts\Dark age of Camelot)

I'm trying with a newly installed version on install directory : c:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Dark age of Camelot
But not really sure it will change something.

Did anyone have those problems ?

(BTW I'm using a MacBook Pro on WinXP sp2 tried to get DaoC installed under MacOS with winehq but did not get the program to start yet ^^ : wineskin can't install and wineBottler gets the job done but can't get to start the game ^^ does anyone has a clean functionnal wrapper to spare for X.5 ? ^^)

i dont know about mac, but i think something going wrong with your emulator.

I'm logging under Windows XP SP2 with boot camp to play DaoC
Just like a normal PC.

I'm trying to get a "native" package on the other hand to play on my macos side ^^

When i finally wait 120sec and go to the next step, there isn´t any "download"-button i can find.
I´ve tryed three times and no chance to get a File, sometimes i get a link to another Page, but this does not help.

Uhhhh that download doesn't work at all, it just says the destination directory doesn't contain any files to update and I sent it to c>programs>daoc> and tried a bunch of subfolders too...

EDIT: the guy who posted the other direct game.dll file to swap worked flawlessly - brilliant!

Did you download the full game? It should've found the game.dll in the main folder and downgraded it.
