ok, just upgraded my game to 1.111 and downloaded the patch in order to test. The result is: mythic just has made a new version of 1.111 thats why you have the error, i ll remake a new patch

So I'm getting this now:

This program cannot update the installed version of Daoc Patch 1.111

I uninstalled the client, redled it. Used the mod manager patacher with Classic, crafting fix, and tajendi II. Patched in the mod manager. Then ran this. Is it possible we have different versions because I'm US and you're EU? (yes I'm up late here). In fact I'm probably going to bed soon so I'll check this again sometime later today, maybe in another 10 hours or so.

hahaha not our luck lol, reupgraded my game in 1.111 by the normal way and tested my patch, i have an error too.... it seems the 1.111 is full of ****** and mythic is correcting his mistakes, we have to wait a bit for a 1.111 more stable, bcause the time i made the patch mythic had already upgraded some files damn !! hahaha

Or mythic is changing a file with some random junk each time we are using their upgrade manager in order to block basic downgrade patches and/or to make an unique game id

seems stable atm, forced the install of the mft.myp (1.109 version) bcause mythic is updating every time this file when u use his updater even if it updates nothing and thats caused some problems with the patcher (unknow version error bcause of fileDate difference).

give me a feedback plz if you try this patch.

Still getting this after running the default Camelot application and having it patch. I have a feeling some other files updated as well. I give you guys credit for trying to maintain an old branch of a codebase, it's always difficult.

I noticed this message is different than the old one. The file is now in the data folder. Is it possible that has something to do with the problem? Before the ifd.mpk message stated that file was in the Dark Age of Camelot folder.

ok, in my game, the file ifd.mpk is located in \Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\data, and after the 1.111 mythic update it has 228.046 octects dated from the 06.july.2011, 02h10 should u check yours plz


ps: just have tested update/downgrade it s till working fine on my side that s exciting my brain lol

Hmm my ifd.mpk file is in the data folder and it's 165 kb updated today (Feb 9, 2012). Maybe I just need that file and then I can copy it and create a local version so this client doesn't patch again? It also says it was accessed on Tues Jul 05, 2011, 5:10:51 PM. Maybe it's a time difference thing between where we live?

strange, just reupdated my game to 1.111 and the file still have the same pound/date (the 165k one is the one from my 1.109). rename the file ifd as ifdold and reupdate your game via mythic and tell me again about the file plz ( it will create u a new one)

When I rename files, it's not redownloading those files. I don't know what's going on so I'm going to try and install this on my C drive and start over.

ok, if it s not downloading the renamed file it s bcause when u run the mythic patcher, it updates the files elswhere.....have u a 2nd daoc somewhere on your hard drive?

if yes, check the ifd file

After reinstalling the game from scratch on my c: drive, the downgrade worked. I'm going to copy this folder now. Thanks for all your help!
