Hey all I played DAOC about five years ago or so and have decided it was the only MMO i really enjoyed. So I am trying my hand on the new shard. My favorite toons were my healer and my skald. I am thinking of going skald again as my first toon but I don't remember what my spec was. Can anyone give me a good spec to work with? Thanks!

Welcome back to the game. I started on this server a little over a year ago and I am glad I found it.

I have a skald but he is only level 34 but seems like when I last played him I was thinking of taking his Battlesongs skill to 50 and weapon to 39 but I'm not sure now.

You mentioned that you like playing a healer and I think they will be in even higher demand for pve now because of the new baf changes to the server. Groups used to be able to single pull with non damage spells, but that bug has apparently been fixed and now groups get multiple incomings on social mobs. So someone who can mez is really needed for groups now.

About the skald spec, I would like to advice the following spec:
50 BS
39 Hammer (or weapon)
18 Parry

But it's my point of view. I just wanted to notice that the skald template is one of the most expensive... QQ

Thanks guys! I made her, Klistan, but I am still a wee little thing so it will take a bit before I can get to the major spec. Although if I do remember correctly now that I have had a chance to look at the offered skills for Skald I think I did something closer to what Fabulabelle recommended so I think I will go with that train of thought.

Hey Zyviel, I agree with your assessment. The only problem I have with the Healer is someone to run with. Last time I got my healer to 50 I had my husband helping to get me there. Basically, he killed it, I healed him. It was a good team. Unfortunitly, my husband has recently found X-Box live and CoD, so I am going to have to try and pry him away to see if I can talk him into coming back with me. He loved this game and I can say from experiencing a lot of other MMO's they have come out with, this is the only one that has an even decent RVR system and that's what he loves to do.

As you, i did create my first chars here 5 years ago and i did back from 2 (starting with new ones), so I know the feeling.
Lately I did a skald 50 and I am trying to rvr solo with it (I have no such free time to find a group or stay hours on line )
I made
44 BS
44 Weapon (hammer)
rest on parry
I capped parry with my template and got master of parry 2

Well, even if I am not an "uber" pvpER, I am very surprised as a light tank specED in that way could be so powefrull in rvr
By the way any spec is good if u back to enoy the game, especially on mid side!

I'm still new to this server but am loving my dwarf skald. Just hit 40 last night! I've been away messing around with swtor for a month or so. I can hook you up with some good armor to get you thru till around 35-40. Just look for Dane. I'm normally on late nights around 20:00 PST.
