A long time ago I read in the change notes that you would start receiving Uthalis for taking lvl 10 keeps. We tried after that change and never received any Uthalis. Later, it was revealed that the keeps had been bugged and were not going up to lvl 10 and they recently made the change so that keeps will now go to level 10. Last night a fg of us hib's went to Crauch and took it over. It was a lvl 10 keep at the time. After taking it we got 2k rp's for killing the lord but no Uthalis. Did I misread the notes stating that Uthalis was going to be given for lvl 10 keeps or was this later changed?

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

But Uthalis for keeplords is a very good idea I think..
Keeplord - Uthalis
lvl5: 1
lvl6: 2
lvl7: 3
lvl8: 4
lvl9: 5
lvl10:6

Maybe you should make this possible via a groupmission: Take a keep of <realm>! And give the Uthalis as reward.
Otherwise Uthalis is senseless, because no GM does Uthalis events on a regular basis since (what was his name?) left.

Make Uthalis Drop at Dragon/Grand Summoner/Legion!!
Only 5 per Kill! (Or less or more ;)) Won´t make too many Uthalis and they will keep coming.

i still want to know why price of uthalis items is going up on merchants EVEN THOUGH there are NO LONGER UTHALIS EVENTS!!!!!
the 40p that i spent buying up uthalis to try and get some items is not setting in vault, wasted, worth nothing, because nobody wants to buy uthalis because there is no way to get more... :wall:

i demand a refund...

Well, if the GMs are not willing to keep Uthalis flowing in one form or another, I think the best solution would be to create an NPC that trades back Uthalis to plats. The exchange rate of course would be a problem, but introducing a new currency and than stop supporting it, with people investing both time and lots of cash to get it, is not a good solution either.

Why should GMs care to implement such a thing? Making the QQ stop is not a good answer.
I am not the Hib Champion Jhonnybegood. He's another player!

Kill that Uthalis merchant already.
Great idea from Casinii, but since he's gone it's worth nothing anymore.

I was actually not hoping for all the replies on this thread, but since it has allready went down this path can I ask what future plans may be in store for Uthalis? Blue at one point mentioned about after big events just giving Uthalis out and having the rewards (effect scrolls, reskin scrolls, etc..) be auctioned off by an NPC for Uthalis. When he posted this it seemed to get a really good response from the majority of players. I was wondering if this is something that might be looked at? By doing this you are limiting the amount of scrolls released into the game so it's easier on the GM's not having to log in every 10 minutes to apply a scroll, and it also keeps them unique since there wont be so many. It also allows the people that have a few hundred uthalis a chance to potentially get something worthwhile since the prices raised.

Blue wrote:My first proposal was not to use fixed prices but to do auctions after events which deal out the rewards by a price of desirability and availability of Uthalis tokens. In that way the staff would not set the price but the amount of rewards to deal out. Players would have to bid Uthalis on a reward they want. It would result in a real price which is balanced between supply of Uthalis and demand of the reward.

An auction is still on the drawing board. :)
