At least Theurgists work!

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

Its not like Anguish failed in Hib only, youre not talking the whole story...

In hib theyve made a whole new group of 8 4l3s... And gave up shortly before reaching rr5 or something like that because they didnt manage much, fail.
So they went to alb and made a group of 6 new rr4l3s... Some of them got high rr toons from their friends, like an rr8+ cleric and a rr8+ sorc, and a rr8+ pally, so they started out with a fairly high rr, for a starter group, and failed about the same as they did on hib.

Ive been running around with them from time to time, i know a little about them.

So why should I reroll and play hib to run vs random mid pugs? Challenge-wise mid is the best in terms of enemy groups. Wonder for how long you cried about anguish this and anguish that, seriously. I forget, all the hibs are indeed alot better players then any alb or mid.

So who are you? because you clearly don't know anything about the alb group we made 2 years ago. Every character was lvled from 1-50, my paladin is the only one of those who got to 5l5 at a later stage. We didn't stop at 4l3, we ran for about a month or two, they stopped playing because I had some isp issues and stopped playing for about 3+ months at that time, and most of the people from the group was already bored/fed up with uthgard, so they left, because they didn't wanna bother with having a new deftank. The hib characters was never finnished for most of the players, so they never officially ran a group there.

And for failing, we took down every mid group, but struggled against hibs (the chosen was newly formed at that time), and we actually ran with a minstrel.

But what you are talking about is some fun runs with 6 of my own characters in the group that was done quite alot more recent.

Hibernia is a trash realm on this server in terms of 8v8 it's not really a debate, I really dont see where a hib tank or caster or hybrid group can ever match the mid or alb cookie cutter setups in terms of interrupts and damage. Zai why did you not stay in hib even with a few members missing? Having to pug a few people seems like not a big deal after leveling/templating characters up to 50, it's not like you don't put people in mid.

Yup hibernia is just fine, if all you want to do is run around with your buttbuddy and add everything you see.

Its quite simple actually, I didn't stay in hib because we weren't missing a few, we had hour long argues about everything inside vanquish from everything to about who should be in group to setup, we were always missing ****** of people, it was only me and deamer who could be bothered about anything, i got seriously annoyed by some of the players, and because over half the group would shout things likes "no, please avoid anguish, pass them in breifine to farm some easy rps" Anguish's commitment level was through the roof in comparison, and I don't think anyone haven't noticed im a nerd, so there you got it, way more fitting for me and I don't care about what realm I play, I've found it easiest finding people I'd like to run 24/7 with on mid, I get to fight more of the good groups since the regular mid group is severley lacking.

I think the problem is that Hib is actually underpowered in the hands of anything but very good players.
You ZaiQQ, from what you say at least, seems to be much above average player. If it's due to time you play, or natural skills doesn't really matter. I think you could make an animist look good in open field fights.
Problem is that most players are not very good, and so they have a very hard time making hib groups work.

Back on live there was a few steady hib groups, and they'd kill everything, but the second they had a few replacements, they suddenly failed.

Hib classes have so many tools (bards/eldritches namely), but unless you're a very very good player, you wont be using half of them, and if you are, you're standing still and dies fast.
This is not the case on Mid. Pretty much all classes are fairly "easy" to play, all classes can be better in the hands of great players, but I found that Mid classes were much easier to play.

I should add I played mid as main realm, so yes, I'm an ease-moder :)

One other thing, is that Uthgard favours melee, and Midgard will always be better at this, and so in open field you need very very good players to make casters better than melee classes.

Question is, do you balance a game based on the full potential of classes/realms (the very best players vs. each other), or after the average player? I believe in the later, but that's my opinion.
Doesn't matter much here, as they're bound to patches and such, but OF RA's would help a great deal, as it would make melee less strong. Besides OF RA's were more fun, as it made realms a lot more diverse.

I played against Anguish a lot, and they always were a hard opponent, but we often managed to get em, because we finally set a playerpool of good players and were running such constantly. And then, at some point they went to Hibernia, and later to Albion. When they started out in Hibernia, they were an easy prey, pretty much on average of what hibs had to offer. And when they switched to Albion, i filled their ranks while Zub was having fun with a pretty high ranked Sorc-account. And when all of them finally got to lvl50, i know that theyve been running around for a month or so because ive seen them passing by or was invited to their groups when theyve been missing something once in a while.

But thats offtopic, so lets get back to Hibernias RVR action, which is lacking skiled players even though there are a lot high rr ones.

They never ran hib officially, and you didn't play with me on alb. If you pugged while zub was having some fun with whored chars, that is way different. Stop talking about other guilds buisness when you havent been a part of them. And zub wasn't the first to ding 50, and he lvled together with all of us, so I don't see how he was having fun while he was playing with all of us xping.

You clearly need to seprate what one person of a guild does and what a whole guild is.

skill of hib players in general is on the same level as alb and mid players. Thing is, in hib you need 8 extremely competent people to run a group. If one doesn't do well the group doesn't do well. And even with 8 competent people you will die to RA dumping high rr groups untill you all hit rank7-8. That is not the case with albion and midgard.

The little stubborn kid said no, so you cant change his opinion until it tries itself or grows a little noticing the wrongs in the process.

Reading comprehension is something you should train.

ZaiQQ wrote:Patch setting might not be completley favorable, but going so far to say "extremly underpowered" is just a major exaggeration.

Is not arguing against that its not favorable for hibs atm. And I did play hib, and I did play bard. And i've played alot of hib on live, in classic toa and nf. All I ever remembered you doing on uthgard unuth, was zerging with your avalonian merc.
