knockout tounaments could be good fun, but i dont think doing 1v1 would work. Imagine a healer picking a 1v1 vs a warrior? would be a foregone conclusion.
If however, you mixed it up and had 2 or 3 random people per team, you then find you have to quickly learn to adapt to others playstyles and you have to rely more heavily on your team to survive. |

I don´t think forcing ppl to play with others they don´t know/like is a good idea. It worked out in the past without this, i bet it will again. And punishing ppl for beeing active in RvR seems kinda stupid to me

On the jousts that I was referring to what would happen is they would choose 5 random hibs, 5 random mids, and 5 random albs. They might do different #'s but every realm had the same. Then two of the three realms woudl line up across from each other and it was basically a 5 man duel but it was only 1 at a time. So lets say it was 5 hibs and 5 mids. They would line up across from each other like below- Skald-----------------------Ranger Warrior--------------------Druid Healer----------------------Hero SB---------------------------Valewalker Hunter----------------------Warden Then how the duel would work is the skald and ranger would duel. Lets say the skald won the duel, then right after that fight was over the hero and skald would duel. Hero wins. Warrior would then duel the Hero and lets say Hero won again, then the Healer would duel the Heroe. This would continue till there was only 1 realm w/ people left. Then they would match up Albs with the winnder and or loser. I think this sounds like a blast because its pretty much all random. People are not putting together uber high RR groups that fit well, and instead you just have to be able to play your class well and win at least 1 duel and 2 if your really good. ![]() Last edited by RonELuvv on Dec 09, 2011 19:30, edited 1 time in total.

That's not what we are talking about. Nobody here is claiming his will to occupay the center of Emain to keep steadly team clashes, each day till Uthgrad will rest online. They/we are just trying to organize a tournament beetween small teams to be held once, or once in a while. And every rvr flat location is good to keep it. There's no need to keep it where people normally do rvr. There's plenty of places that don't see an active player by months ![]() Or are you zombie minded and therefore cannot understand the meaning of simple words like: respect other's ideas and fun so to let people arrange their own amusement, if that don't spoil yours? ![]() On Uthgard 1.0:
Totenpfeil <Ranger> - Vlath <Hunter> - Toten <Eldritch> - Totentanz <Skald> On Uthgard 2.0: Totenzweig <Druid> - Totentanz <Skald> |

I don't think it would be too much fair. This way, one good shot is enough to win even 100 fights in a row. For example, take the first Thane of the server, as soon as it would be his turn, following team mates of him will never have a chance to fight ![]() In my opinion, every team should have its members fight only once per round ![]() On Uthgard 1.0:
Totenpfeil <Ranger> - Vlath <Hunter> - Toten <Eldritch> - Totentanz <Skald> On Uthgard 2.0: Totenzweig <Druid> - Totentanz <Skald> |

From what I heard there is no healing up between rounds. If the thane blew all his RA's and won the first fight with only 50% life left he would be fighting the next guy with full life and all RA's up. The only thing that would be unfair is if one realm had a bunch of support classes randomly selected and the other 2 did not. In other words, lets say the hibs had a druid and a bard both selected. Neither of those 2 is probably going to do much of anything in a fight, even against a weak opponent. From what Ronia told me it was mainly more tank/stealther/caster/hybrid toons that did them. The GM's were who hosted them and then the winning realm would get a prize if you were on the winning team. I just think they would be fun.
To explain this better the Thane wouldnt get healed or be allowed time to heal up. Its a duel till one person wins then immediatley the next person in line fills in for the person who died. The healers in the line cant heal or buff the others either, only themselves. So yes, a Thane would be nice and would probably win his first fight, but then would probably lose the 2nd fight unless he was really well played. |

@Badtzmaru
I think you misunderstood my point here. They were saying they would like to enfore a cap of total RR and/or force apart ppl that would like to play together because they would be to strong. Both come from playing in RvR instead going PvE/redoing BGs over and over again. And that WOULD be punishing ppl for actually doing RvR... |
