yep, this is the unmodified formular,
so this is how u should block with this spec and race
only duelwield and number of attackers and leveldifference of enemy will modify it on uthgard
WS will modify this, but how is the big question, but the difference if WS is fixed wouldnt be a lot bigger/smaller than those 1,75%

A Troll with Mastery of Block 1 blocks more than a Kobold with Mastery of Block 0. Cost: 1 realm skill point.

A Kobold with Augmented Strength 5 has less strength and hits for less damage than a Troll with Augmented Strength 0. Cost: 34 realm skill points.

Its cheaper for a Troll to compensate for the lower blockrate than for a Kobold to compensate for the lower strength with RAs.

The biggest advantage of Kobold over Troll is the higher quickness for faster cooldown between slams and backsnares. But the Trolls higher strength is more useful overall in my opinion.

exactly, the numbers show that a troll with MOB 1 will block 1.25% more often than a Kobbie without MOB.

and even if they both spec the same level of MOB, the difference remains the same at 1.25%

nothing to worry about if you ask me.

however, the lower con and lower str might make a big difference.

If you made a dwarf/koby or norse/frost you could get mistaken for a healer/shammy in rvr which would look kinda funny, until the opposing AL would notice you beeing, not exactly their top priority. This, beside beeing funny could give your group a nice little edge in some fights.

But true, the best(most usefull) race for a tank in mid is the troll and thats TEH point of daoc midstyle!
Those 1%-2% more blockrate or 6% better attackspeed(which reduce the styledamage), are not as much worth it, as 50 str, which is a lot, and 40 con, which is about 180 extra hp... 180 hp is almost 10% of your hps...

I certainly enjoy playing my Kobie Warrior
Sure trolls do more damage, but Kobolds can dish some too.
