1.110 Support information *Updated*

Sounds as would you graphic device not be able to render 3D Graphic or is at least not compatible with DAoC. What Graphic Card, Memory and Processor has your Notebook? You can try to install newest DirectX version and nevest Drivers for your Graphic Card.
WRONG! It should be placed in folder where you have installed DAoC/where your camelot.exe is.
It will patch the Game, not overriding everything. You NEED to patch with camcheck.exe then override 1.110 game.dll with 1.109 game.dll
DAoC is Windows 7 compatible, maybe check Updates for your Windows+Graphic-Card. Xai - L50 Caba | Elleri - L50 Pala | Ellesar - L50 Arms | Inquisitor - L50 Cleri

Why should someone patch to 1.95 if 1.109 work too and is better?

Running an unknown DLL from an anonymous one-click hoster advertized by someone who created a forum account just to direct us to that DLL? Sorry, but no. So what is the solution for all new Uthgard players? A newly installed vanilla DAoC does not seem to connect to Uthgard ("Press ESC to exit" after 1 minute) and no tips in this thread seem to work. |

[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

Just claiming somebody confirmed it does not create trust. Confirmation from many different trustworthy sources creates trust. Both linked game.dlls do not match the original version I have archived. In order to shed some light on whether a version is legit or not I suggest we compare MD5 checksums (There are many different tools for calculatig checksums, e.g. the one from Robin Keir).

|
I use the same game.dll from that link but if you want to be all DON'T TRUST ANYONE then that's your problem.

It is not a "problem", it's just common sense. And it should be easy to verify. If it is a legit version, many Uthgard players should be able to confirm the checksum. |
|
Most Uthgard players don't use the forums.

They do when they cannot log in. And while only few post here there may be quite some players who are interested in hints. That's why I felt I should write a comment. |
|
i posted the game.dll, which was taken from my own installation of the game. If you don't trust it/me, then whatever i wont be losing any sleep or game time over it.
feel free to source your own DLL. |

Since you are a member of this forum for 3 years now with over 160 posts and a signature linking you to your chars and since you took the time explaining why your dll is ok there are reasons to trust you. But in general it is difficult to trust people you do not know and checksums can solve that problem because if several people post the same checksums you don't have to trust every single one that much. Sorry if you think I am overly anal about it but I think it is important that no Uthgard player fscks up his/her system. No harm intended. |
|
Do you really think any hacker spend time to write a Virus for Uthgard?
