Yeah because hosting it any longer is such an effort. I mean its not like you can just leave it there & dont care about it.

it's not like i do things just because other people want me to. Sometimes i can decide for myself if i want to help someone or not.

FYI, its was being hosted through my work DropBox account which is shared with my directors and I didn't think it prudent to keep it there. If you didn't backup your DAOC folder in the case something went wrong then that's not my fault.

as you asked me so nicely; here is the file game.dll :wall:

Some sort of late change has broken support - we are working on restoring it. Until further notice, do not update to 1.110

Thank you very much Borog ! had updated aswell and also deleted my second DaoC installation so was very glad you posted the file. Works like a charm. Some people are just plain rude dont pay any attention to them. They should be thankfull that you took the effort to help.

I just installed a client on my Fiance's computer today and when trying to patch I get some errors... At work now so can't post, but is this a side effect of just installnig today or is that to hard to determine w/o actual error notes?
****Another thought is maybe her computer is just to ****** to run the game? Seems as if the computer doesn't have the proper components to run games at all? Its a "fancy" netbook.

Here is the error:
--------------------------------------------------------------------

this should be in the support forum, but here is a clue to your problem:

Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\update.dat' is denied.

So, either run as an administrator or move the client out of the "Program Files" folder.

lol :P what spec is your computer ? On live i ran my bot account on a pentium 800 and with all the fancy stuff down it did reasonably well. (save from large scale rvr, then it basically turned in a slideshow ;-))

It's an HP MINI 210-1010NR Netbook. I honestly don't even think this think has a graphics card in it, maybe just an onboard card. If you want/can look into if it'd even be capable of running the game, that'd be pretty schweet :P

well its got an integrated GMA 3150, which is capable of running DirectX 9c with pixel shader 3, however, the massive 389MB shared ram might not be enough.

The only suggestion is to try running with all other apllications closed and if you can get it to start, tehn change to Classic skins and drop the res as low as it will go.

failing that go on ebay and buy a 5 year old laptop :)
