Rangers have Dual Weild. An assassin's chance to evade your attacks is about 20% compared to 40% evade rate vs. Hunters and Scouts. Rangers have the best bow damage on the server, with 5.7 speed bows and a dex/qui buff. You have a RR5 that's good for kiting and does damage. You have a speed shout to give you the distance you need for more bow shots. Why are Rangers losing to assassins? If my Hunter could cut an assassin's evade rate in half I would wtfpwn every Inf and NS on the server. I'm jealous!

I don't have a Ranger alt. If I were to play another archer it would be a Scout.

Good news for you is that Old RA's are not coming, thank God. You have nothing to worry about.

RonEluvv, it's ok. You are playing a class that is viewed as something of a 'fotm' class and you have your reasons. That's cool. Enjoy it. I'm a Mid. I always have and always will play Midgard, because I am a relic of the old days where realm pride was actually more than a non-sequitur. I enjoy my Shadowblade, I enjoy my Hunter, and if you enjoy your Ranger, go for it. You can make any claim you want, just as I can. Perhaps it sucks for you that the class you happen to think was gimp somewhere once upon a time is arguably the top of the stealth food chain here, since that unfairly lends a certain lack of credibility to the argument. That's unfortunate.

Regardless though, good luck and happy hunting on your Ranger that you want to get to RR10, and on your Hunter that you plan to level up, I do hope you enjoy them. Odds are good if you're on a Ranger, that since I am only an average player, you will likely kill me many times over in the course of coming months. It will be nothing new to me.

But I can wish you'd not try to claim you have any disadvantage over other stealthers as a Ranger. It's just not credible.

Well said Bal, and i'm not exactly trying to point out disadvantages to my class, I will gladly admit that they are the #1 stealther on the server because of all the things that Seyah posted. I just think that their superiority in the stealther wars (which is only a small part of RvR) gets carried over into all classes and in playing ranger and losing on him to multiple classes it frustrates me to see everyone cry op'd ranger. Also, I promise you that on Iseult up until the new RA patch rangers were the worst of all the stealthers. Scout was close to being as bad, but at least they had their slam if u didnt have purge up. Now, after the introduction of the Shar and the New RA's got put in that completely changed and ranger's became the new assasin killers.

@ Seyha, yah, I agree, you werent really arguing w/ me it was more advice and you were right in what you posted. As I posted above, I just feel rangers get a bit too much op'd talk. Sitting at work bored all day reading these posts doesnt help I could have sworn that you sent me a tell on Hibernia like 6-7 months ago (right b4 u quit) and was asking about ranger spec. Maybe it was another hunter
