I wanna know if the SB is really the weakness of the Stealthers..
How is the situation?
Do more damage now? Comparate to the other stealther?
Pro of the SB?
Weak of the SB?
With the Old RA how is the situation? Any very good or disponible only for the SB?
Can be a good chooice the SB how stealther? Or every inc with other stealther be'll kill easy...
Please answer at all question... i need to know somethings of the SB first roll it or chooise another stealther...

I'm probably not the only one feeling tempted to not answer your questions if you write it like a to-do-list of my boss.

In my opinion sb is the strongest assasin in this server while we have new ras, with old ras this is will change.
If you will go full damage spec you will be really strong.

The strongest stealther is ranger. For fight vs them you will need viper 3, because they spec pd4-5.

If you want play solo the situation is hard at prime time cause stealth zerg.

ppl like you, who wanna know "what is the best so i will play it" should play windows pinball.

wtf roll the char u prefer and try to understand its playstyle..if u don t like it, just roll another toon, what is the problem?!

btw it doesn't mind what class is "the best", maybe you are not the best for it and suck at each inc, so................ play and have fun bc this is a GAME, don't forget this thing!

cheers

I would advice you to roll a hunter. It's an easy to play class: Because of MoS you can see other stealthers. Just manage to start a fight with a successfull critshot, then land 1-2 rapid fire shots, finally finish him in melee. Then hide to reg, and start the procedure again with the next assasin.

Its like the Fish thingy :

Solo > Smallman > PuG > SG > ZERG

For Stealthers :

Ranger > Infi > SB > NS > Scout > Hunter ( Dont count Minst as pure stealther cuz they r strong vs everything in visible pvp, stealth is only a bonus )

I would actually change that a bit:

OVERALL- (meaning stealth classes vs ALL classes)

NS>/= INF>SB>RANGER>HUNTER>SCOUT

Now if you are just talking about stealther vs other stealthers

Ranger>INF>/=NS>SB>Hunter>Scout

I also agree that you can't really include minstril in this. I say that Inf's and NS's are pretty damn close to being as powerful as each other, and I would grade SB's every so slightly lower then then inf's and ns's. I think SB's CAN be better, but you really need to be a great player. Noir destroyed people on his SB, and he may have been the only assasin that I was never able to kill solo. Rangers are very good at killing assasins hence the reason that vs stealthers they are great, but assasins will always be better at killing any other visi class over a ranger. Perf+viper3+purge+vanish= pwn almost any visi class.

Also, I agree with Bubana to a certain degree. Make the char you want, and take time to learn it. Find out what classes you perform weak againsts (pretty much just rangers) and then adapt accordingly. If you dont like it then roll a new toon.

U ll get wtf pwned by blade rangers and there are a lot of them. So yes SB is the worst choice.

just wanted to paraphrase you there and say that it's all very well that SB's can be played better; however Noir and the other top SB's are a) really very good at their class and b) have the best temp money can buy.

a fair test would be to take one of each class and give them an identical template (or as close as they can be) then see which class beats what. I wouldn't be surprised to find SB's and Hunters still at the bottom of the list.

Any time I rate classes all I can do is compare with what I experience personally out in frontiers RvR. Yes, blade rangers do very well against SB's, but I would have to geuss that more then 50% of rangers are pierce spec for the evade stun. There are some that go blade, but at least as many if not more are pierce. Also, the reason I gave the 2 rankings is simple. If you are talking from a purely stealth vs stealth then yes, rangers is by far the best class out of all since with its combination of cd, pd, ip, toughness, pathfinding, bow, and most importantly Mastery of Stealth, we are the bane of assasins. However, when you compare those same classes with visibles then assasins (including sb's) are higher then ranger because there is not really particular classes you are weak to except rangers. As sombody else pointed out, DAOC is a rock, paper, scissor's game and ranger just happens to be the paper to the rock of assasins. The difference being that rangers have alot of other classes that we have bad matchups against, while assasins (including ALL assasins) really only have 1 bad matchup.

On a slightly different note, comparing NS's, Inf's, and SB's sombody who played SB once told me that the SB is a more powerful class of the 3 assasins at all times, and a NS and Inf are more powerful when their timed RA's are up. I have never made an assasin so I could not say for sure myself, but this guy claimed that most SB's spec more passive RA's that make them better overall, while NS's and Inf's spec more timed RA's making them more powerful when the RA's are up, but weaker when they are down. Very similiar to what most rangers go threw. When IP, Purge, and Desperate Bowman are all up a ranger is almost impossible for an assasin to kill. With those RA's all down an assasin has a good chance of killing the ranger.

Sb only need one timed ra and this is purge, rest are pasive. If sb dont spend poits in ras like vanish they are very strong. Ras like mop, aug st and tougness make them very strong.

Same for Inf/NS
With Purge 2/3, Viper 2/3, MoP 4, Aug Str 3

I got a SB on live ToA/classic, a Inf here and a NS ToA and all only got Purge 2/3 as active RA, rest damage increasing passive RAs.

Just found out about this server and I have a quick question I'm going to toss in this thread...

Server has a no buff bot rule and that's great. However I find it hard to believe all the stealthers out there are 100% buffless... I assume players have friends with conc or AE buffs up when soloing.... is this true or are most stealthers 100% buffless?

Most stealthers run a crapload of Pots and Charges.
Str/con, dex/qui, bases, spec-AF, MHB, haste,.... whatever you can imagine :D
