The Golden Rule: Treat Others how you want to be treated
I'm just curious because a lot of people whine and complain about being added, particularly the 8mans. Yet these same 8mans (mostly the mid 8 mans) will happily destroy all solos in sight without regard for players who do add them vs those that dont. Today Celican's crew gladly killed me on site despite me not adding you guys one time. Now i understand that you guys have no idea when im around unless im out of stealth so you probably have no idea that i ignored your group fights 4 times today. but seriously it gets so annoying. i wonder why i even bother ignoring your fights and NOT adding because i might as well get some RPS since you guys are certainly going to try and get them off me. ![]() |

We were running a pug and cannot always control everyone, some wanted to kill you some didn't. But as a pug its alot harder enforcing people, and we had alot of other stealther adds today so I'm guessing they saw it red. But it was one time you got killed by us, and we ran for 4 hours.

i see flame incomming close pls as the post it self will lead to nothing

it has the potential to turn into a massive flame thread or a constructive thread about respectful play.
no one likes to get added except for a few players in the community. i for one would prefer that whenever someone sees my briton phoenix knight self running around that they leave me cause i wont add you either. but meh |
|
i for one would prefer constructive.
so please dont add me! i wont add you! |
|
this is the way to go. Personnally, it tooks r4 to r9 to deserves to not be added by some player. Being known as a fair solo player is pretty LONG way, you must aware about it. |
|
Even if you don't run a pug, it can be impossible to control everyone |
|
It isn't. When you're the big boss, you are the big boss. Simple as that. ![]() So for future reference I will make an effort to spare you then mauriac. |
|
Well most hib pugs somehow magically manage to not kill the solo players.
But hey you are Midgard and most of you are irc heros, must be really hard for you. |
|
So tell me who you are and lets see how many solos your pug groups are sparing. ;> |
|
i will still kill every solo and expect every solo to add fights, as i do when i am solo. And i expect every grp to kill me when i am solo.
so i obey the rule: Treat Others how you want to be treated And if you play like this the game can really feel a bit like a game about war, as it was ment to be. For sure no real war bla bla, but still a game about war. And not fluffy puffy pink we all respect each other and only fight if it's fair and no feelings get hurt... ![]() ok, now i bet 5 p the thread gets closed before the end of the day ![]() |

You mean "roleplay" war. No. Roleplay is not avaible on Uthgard. aylwynn warden

Problem is that most of player don't like to play in such mind, futhermore such a way mostly like to make RvR zone empty when people release too much. And as far you can't "WIN THE WAR" that becomes stupid. |
|
sure you can win the war. Am i the only one who has seen the credits in the "game won" screen of daoc?
![]() I understand player who only want to play solo or player who want only fair 8v8... for this unwritten rules there are also zones for such playstiles. I am the fairest 8v8 player on uthgard when fighting in odins gate for example. In emain i just follow the written rules of daoc and uthgard. amg emain is just not the zone for solos or fair fights, and every solo playing just there is just rp horny and wants instant action. Before i start an excel sheet with screens which solo does add our fights at amg, which does not, who is always solo, who sometimes groups to kill solo... i prefer to kill' em all. I will not if i meet them in hadrians or odins gate though. |
