i've tried out purga for 2 days and i hated it

of course it's ok for just trying out different chars but even if you have a lvl 50 in one day or less ,you still cant play it like as if you level it from lvl 1 on the normal way.(thats my opinion)

what are the goals there? just epic and rp's?

You can also make your template there for your char.
As Gaius said the aim is RvR and you want to get a high rr-char.
With bp you can Darkspireitems, which are very good.
You make there RvR because its fun not because you want to make rp/bp.

Everyone got own point of view , for me all fun of daoc is rvr and it wont be never boring , unless i have no grp while playing support char ...
IF i would like to kill 10000000000 of mobs per lvl like on uthgard i would play just other game like lineage ....
And 99% of servers are instant for rvr so most of poeple think same . Of course i have nothing against killing some mobs but on uth its a "bit" too much ...

One thing about PvE which in Uthgard rule is dragon and legion raids.
They are great .... but kiling over and over milions time same mobs for many hours for get one level isnt realy fun

But i managed to get my 50 here to have nice rvr ... dont have to say that my 50er nearly never rvred.... ( got 3l2 before 50 - 3l3 while 50 ...)

of course everyone has to decide for himself.

but i am happy that there is a free server like this one, were you can play the game how it was meant to be played in the first time including leveling, crafting, farming ect.

Remember Uthgards goal is to get a live server emulation. We dont want to go into the stream of short cut servers. There is no short cut on live too. If 99% of servers have instant 50 or the like, Uthgard will still offer you a nice world where you have to grow. We dont disappear in near future so you can take the time you need. Once you reached 50 there is no need to get another and another char to 50 like some do and then complain about leveling speeds. If you do it then dont complain. Just go and fight in RvR when you reached 50.

Uthgard btw still has easy mode active where all mobs are not quite as strong as on live. Additional you have several experience bonuses that can stack up quite large.

I admit that mobs need some more tuning to be more variant like spell casting, ranged attacks, bring a friend and so on. There is still work to do.

i'm with esme on this one, uth is diffrerent and thats it's strong point.
i like the little hint of roleplay still left in here, you get born, you grow up to be strong and if you don't quit you live hapily ever after...

a perfect way to get away from everyday sorrow and ******, to get in front of you computer after a hard day's work and enter the world of friends, be someone else, kill some mobs or enemy's or craft and feel usefull...

don't try to changeit, just make it more perfect plz

My plans when i started here were get my 50 and rvr , wasnt even thinking about more chars... But when i log 50er .. firstly /who emain : no matches ... over and over .... so rvr would be just giving free rpses too enemy over and over which is illegal ....and i dont level any other char anymore ...

And dont think i am guy who like geting everything easy , i never liked purga cause its only for fun , isnt real play , everything getting easy makes them easy to leave wothout any problems ...
Thats why firstly came here ,its hard to leave all of this after months of hard work on char .... but there should be reward at the end ... and i didnt got it . Currently i have 2 choices : bore here or go purga and have fun ... actually there is no choice because game is for fun ... But ofcourse i dont think i will leave server, just wait for better times ...

Actualy i was never planning playing purga , but when server went down first time ,many players went there so i went with them. I met ppl from my country (finally !) and it started ....

You all missunderstand us....
We want something more to do.
Maybe cl's or some Bossmobs we can farm.
A more difficult Epic-quest and casting/styling mobs.
And don't make the RvR-zone too big, Agramon has the same size like Emain and Purga has 200+ gamers.
Thats a lot of work, so nobody should complain, but if you ask for it why shouldn't i say it?

P.S.: I made this mistake also one day in English class and my English teacher blamed me! But ok, teachers are stupid, who needs them? Viva la Pink Floyd....Another brick in the wall...damdidubamda...

PNG understands me i think ^^... hm could be cause i often grping with him on Purga so he knows whats good on Purga -> The RVR


The nice site on Purga is the RvR nobody can say sth against that. But i´m missing farming bossmobs like Legion or the Dragon ect. the only really complicated mobs to farm there are the so called 'Toa-Epic' mobs(quest mobs u need to kill with 6-8 ppl) to get ur 'toa-epic'

the others are all farmable with some cave shaman like 1-2months ago on Uthgard remember every hour legion raid ;p


And like Elwin i hope Uthgard will have better times for nice RvR. The Exp bonus was an nice idea but i dont guess that u can say RP farming is RvR.
I guess the needing for better RvR are more player leveling to lvl 50 but many stoped at lvl 30..

now u say bah they make rvr in braemer or wilton so when u close these BG´s they will end to play ect..

But now look to another point;

The most player who lvled a char to lvl 50 made a Braemer char - ok i think, BUT they give him high utility items wich only they can get so the lvl 30 are wearing all capped sc templates and the new ones ?
They were 'dropped' armor and other crap stuff and can't get a nice SC because they dont have a char to farm utility drops. The other point is the so called 'braemer-chars' are getting high rr likle 2L0 ...

Thats why many end playing on uthgard BECAUSE there are low BG's and they are only being farmed ...
